Happy Forget-Me-Not Day

Forget-Me-Not is my husband's favorite flower. But I just learned that on every November 10th is Forget-Me-Not Day. According to Holiday Insight, it is a day to remember family, friends, and loved ones.
.
People use this day to get in touch with family, friends and loved ones, especially those who we haven't seen in a while. You don't want them to forget you, do you!? This day is intended to remember the living. But, some people have used it to memorialize a loved one who is no longer with us.
.
Here are some great ways to celebrate National Forget Me Not Day:
*Send email to somebody that you haven't heard in a while.

*Give Forget Me Not flower seed packets to family and friends. This is very popular. The seed packets are very inexpensive and easy to mail.
*Phone people you haven't seen in a while and wish them a happy National Forget Me Not Day. They will get the message.

.
Origin of Forget Me Not Day: (from Holiday Insights)
We did not find the originator of this special day. Nor, did we find any factual information. We find it strange, that the creator of has been "forgotten". (he-he-he) We did find organizations, mayors and other officials who have proclaimed a "Forget Me Not Day". They were declared for a wide range of reasons and were celebrated, largely as a one time event, on many different dates.

.
Happy "Forget-Me-Not Day" to everybody.
