Puzzle Of Two Hearts

I just found out that I am the missing piece of puzzle of my husband's heart. I mean it literally. Hmm... this sounds an interesting story to tell, isn't it?

My husband's chest is sunken a little bit. I didn't know there was a story behind it until I happened to ask him just a couple of hours ago. He told me that his mom told him that when he was a baby the doctor gave him the wrong medicine that it gave him difficulty in breathing and that made his chest sunk a little bit.
.
What about mine? Here is my story. My mother told me that when I was a few weeks old, the nurse was bottle-feeding me with water when all of a sudden I was grasping for air because of too much water. The nurse was in panic that she rubbed my chest too hard and that's how I got a humped chest right now.
.
Does this made sense?

The Brain

Fruits From Florida

Dad and Mom (in-law) came from Florida and look what they brought me... fruits... lots of fruits. Straight From The Heart by Julie Mulligan

The very first thing that my mother taught me when I was a little girl was making a dress for my doll. I wanted my doll to have an extra dress, so she made one and it lead to another one dress and another one dress. Then she had decided to teach me how to make doll dress and how to hand-sew, too. That gave me the leading that I want to become a dressmaker. After a decade, I had the chance to take dressmaking class during one summer that leads me make dresses to my nieces and then later on, it leads me to work in a garment factory which I love very much.

There are many other things that my mother taught me. Most of my personal interest I got it from her. I miss her so much. We are half of the world apart and once I get my “Adjustment of Status”, I would definitely visit here; if God is willing.

I thank God that He made me a cheerful person that sometimes I can still laugh even if something is bothering me. I easily get stressed in working few hours and that is how I learned to unwind myself by focusing on things that are good and worth smiling or laughing.

A cheerful heart is vital in my life. Laughter used to be my therapy. My room mate and I used to laugh out loud like crazy until it we were worn out, but the result was really wonderful. It gave us a healthy heart, body and mind.

There is a deeper, abiding joy for those who trust the Lord that is based on much more than frivolity and circumstances. It is a joy based on God's salvation. He has provided forgiveness of sin and a restored relationship with Himself through Jesus Christ. That gives us a deep joy which circumstances cannot shake because joy comes from the Lord who lives in us, not from what's happening around us.

I am excited because we got a new neighbor. A middle aged couple had just bought the house about 40 yards away from our house. I saw them cleaning the fields and planting some pine trees on the border line of their land. My father-in-law approached and introduced himself to the new owners of the house and shortly after, all three of them have a good talk together. It has been quite a while that nobody lives on that house that they have bought and they happened to mention that they are doing some remodeling for that house. Weeds? So What? They Are Still Flowers!

Yesterday morning, while I was cleaning the exterior shutters of our window, I noticed something on the field... there were tiny yellow "something". Then, I went closer and found out that they are yellow flowers. I run to my husband and told him excitedly that I found some flowers outside... he wanted me to show them, so we both went outside and showed him the flowers. "Those are not flowers!" was his words. "Huh? Then, what are those?" I was so confused. "Those are weeds." Weeds? So What? They are still flowers" And they are lovely. The first flower that blooms on this spring in our surrounding. Soon, more and more flowers of different kind will bloom, too.

It was a beautiful day. The leaves on some trees were starting to sprung up, too. Our dogs had fun running around while I was busy cleaning the exterior shutters of our house. This is what I love about spring, I just feel like working and cleaning a lot.

Disrobe Again?

I had my Medical examination for my AOS application this morning. I was so happy that, finally, we were able to start with this. There has been a lot of hindrances why we keep putting this thing aside and one of them was my recent health problem.

I was so happy, too, because as we were on the road, I saw a lot of flowers. Spring Flowers! They're really brightened my day even more. I always love flowers. They're so bright and colorful.

We are thankful that the fee was not more than what we have expected. But there is only one thing that had me totally caught off guard... I didn't know I had to disrobe. (Again?) Yes, the word "again" was on my mind, because during my medical examination in the Philippines for my Visa going here, I had to disrobe, too. But this time, I did not expect that to happened again. It was a female doctor that checked me in the Philippines; while it was a male doctor that checked me this afternoon. Well, it was done... and all I have now is the feeling of shock. Right after the examination, I feel like I am walking around completely naked. (That was exactly the same feeling I had before, too.)

How Did God Made The Holy Bible? (part 1)

Here is the question a lot of unbelieving people wants to have an answer: "Who made the Bible?". But I rather title this Sermon Series Sunday as;

How Did God Made The Holy Bible?

The whole Bible is a compilation of 66 books. God uses three wonderful methods as he carefully carved out that most blessed of all books, the Bible. These three "tools" are referred to as:

*Revelation- From God to man (man hears that which God wants written).

.............................Around 1400 B.C. God began to quitely call some 40 men and women into His presence. He didn't call them in all at once. It took Him nearly 15 centuries to complete the job. He spoke the burden of His great heart in simple but sublime language to those chosen forty. "I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ." (Galatians 1:11-12 NIV)

*Inspiration- From man to paper (man writes that which God wants written).

The term "inspiration" is found but once in the New Testament. This occurs in 2 Timothy 3:16. *Illumination- From darkness to light (man receives the light of that which God has written).

When I was still in the Philippines, a certain part of my wall was covered with my key holder collection. Well, it was nothing significant though. It was just any kind of key holder... and again, I have to leave it.

There are a lot of deer in our area. In fact, I believe that it was a deer that caused the death of Bud. He probably went chasing after a deer that lead him to the street and was hit. I am still sad over the death of Bud. Deer has been the common cause of car accident in our area, too. At one time, while we were peacefully driving going to the campsite, all of a sudden, a dear came from nowhere cross the street. I was very thankful that our car break was good and we were safe. Deer cause a lot of damage in our garden, too. They ate our fruits and vegetables. Deer was always ahead of us in reaping the corn. Oh, how they love corn.

It was such a nice day this morning. The temperature outside was 74. And because the air would still be too chilly for me, I just laid a blanket next to our window and had some sun while I was reading a book. Ahh, prettry hot... it soothes through my skin.
After a while of lying down, I get thirsty and had decided to get myself some fruit juice. So, I got up... and when I am on the way back to the spot... Uhh-ooh... Somebody took my place...

Physical and Spiritual Stretching

For almost five years that I live a life that was almost a daily routine. I had the same activities day after day. The kind of work I had was not really challenging. It was the kind that I do the same scope of work over and over again. Though I have friends but I don't go out to be with them. I was renting a room that I considered as my comfort zone than anywhere else. (I have a friend in the same house, so, for me that was enough.) I rather stay home and relax or read a book. I felt very contented with my situation and just being all by myself.

So, when I met my boyfriend and have to move here in the USA to be with him, for me that was some kind of a stretching outside my comfort zone. Along with that is the thought that I may get bored, discomforted, get sick or may want to go back from where I came from. I also have to learned to share my time, to do things even if I don't feel like doing so, and to plan for the future, too.

While I am having a physical stretch out, I am also having a spiritual stretch out. When I boldly step out of faith and obedience to God, it was such a painful stretch, but it later leads to better me. It strengthen me. I found my usefulness in here with my husband and above all, I found what God wants me to do in my life. Our adequacy and our sufficiency is found in God.
