Magazines For Nurses
My sister-in-law had just graduated her Bachelor of Nurse in Michigan University and she is now working in a hospital. I never realized that being a nurse was not easy as I thought, until my husband happened to be confined in a hospital few weeks ago. There I had witnessed what are the responsibilities and job of a nurse and how well they treat the patient. It made me became interested to take up nursing course, too.
ScrubsMag.com is a site about the nurse’s guide to good living. Unlike some other sites, Scrubs is about almost everything that matters to the life of the nursing career (both nursing students, new nurses or seasoned nurses) from lifestyle, inspiration, uplifting words, positive attitude, news & entertainment.
Nurses have their own favorite tunes and artists, too. I had noticed that most kind of songs that nurses recommends are of the classic artist, especially 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. But there was one particular story in Scrubs that has touched my soft heart. It was about “Praying With A Patient” . The writer, a recent nursing graduate, shared her experience with a very ill patient who wanted to pray with her (the nurse). What should she have done? As a new nurse, she knew she wanted to give her patients what they need without hesitation. So, yes, she prayed for her very ill patient.
Although I am not a nurse, I enjoyed reading the articles on this site. I believe you will like this site, too.

Summer Vacation Is Family Bonding Time
It was Ean’s (my step-son) high school graduation yesterday. I think it was the first time that I saw a lot of people in just one place. (I mean, here in Michigan only.) The ceremony didn’t take very long as it usually does; and we were glad that it went that way because my husband was already sweating and was uncomfortable inside that very crowded gymnasium.
After the ceremony, we had some picture taking and then we heeded to a restaurant for celebration. There were ten of us on one long table. It was such a merry night, everybody was talking about achievements and plans and suggestions. Then later on, the conversation switched to traveling. A relative was sharing their vacation in Las Vegas and their good experiences, while the other one was talking about their vacation in Florida and California.
Summer time is about vacation and traveling because it is when the school stops. Most working parents took vacation leave to have a whole family vacation away from home. That is a good way to unwind our minds, have undivided time with the family and relax our body, too.
If you are one of those who are planning for a summer vacation, I am sure that you are looking for good hotel promotions and deals. Well, I found one. How do you like extended stay hotel promotions ? Click on Choice Hotels double hotel rewards for more surprises.

Food Trip Friday #5 - Humba
shes. My best friend, Ann, whom I chat to almost every night, suggested to me to try to cook "Humba". It's one of my favorite. She gave me the recipe and instructions. I tried it. To my surprise, it did good. I did good! I can't believe it.Posted by Hi! I'm Grace at 9:30 PM 5 comments

Have A Manta Ride!
I was told that I should never miss a visit to Sea World when I go to Florida. Well, I would definitely visit Sea World, even if there was nobody that told me to do so. Sea World is my dream place to go. It is a great recreation center for the whole family. It is the most famous in Florida. Sea World, I am coming!
.
Sea World’s newest attraction, Manta , is opening this May!!! They are running an awesome contest as a celebration of their opening where you could win a “Front-of-the-line” pass to Manta at Sea World Orlando.
.
Here’s how to “Participate and Win”:
*Visit http://www.ridemanta.com
*Go through all six (6) activities and feel free to participate the following:
*Manta Quiz
*Submit to Flickr
*Fill Your Row
*Submit to YouTube

I definitely would want to ride the Flying Manta Ray. I believe it will be scary, but it will be worth the try. I want to feel how it's like to spin, glide, skim and fly like a giant ray. This is totally one of the kind ride in the world. It's a seamless blend of up-close animal encounters with a head-first, face-down thrill ride. It would be good to feel the thrill of exploring the depths of the sea and roaming around Manta’s freshwater lagoon and saltwater habitats. It was said that there are more than 3,000 animals live in Manta’s state-of-the-art aquatic habitats, creating mesmerizing face-to-fin encounters with hundreds of rays, thousands of exotic fish and even a giant Pacific octopus.

Tips On Purchasing Furniture
I know some people who buy new furniture as often as they buy “new clothes”. Of course, that was just a figurative form of speech, but what it means is that they buy furniture more often compare to ordinary people. Having high-end modern furniture displays the standard of their living. Purchasing new furniture can be an exciting adventure, and here are some tips on how to buy furniture:
*Prioritize your needs. If you need a kitchen table, don’t get a couch, even if it was on sale.
*Buy the best quality you can afford. Poor furniture quality is less likely to hold up over the long haul, which means you might have to buy items twice.
*Think about versatility in styling when you buy. Classic looks can be easier to decorate around, especially for long-standing furniture.
*Ponder versatility in function when you buy. Today's end table could be tomorrow's nightstand; this year's entry-hall table might be next year's home-office console.
*Choose non-trendy upholstery. The hunter green that was hot a couple of years ago can be out-fashioned the next year to come.

It Is Time For Camping Out!
It is camping season once again. More and more RV’s are on the road, going to their favorite campsite. Uncle Therman and Aunt Anna spent most of their time together on their RV (during spring and summer only), hopping from one campsite to another campsite. Just lately, they were in Krystal Lake Camp Site for almost a week.
.
It is the time to shake the cobwebs off our camping gear and get ready for the camping. If you haven't done so already, before packing up for that first outdoor trip of the year, it's a good idea to check the gear for wear and tear, mold or mildew, dirt and grime, or signs of damage that may require some repairs.
.
Now, let me introduce to you Gettysburg Battlefield Resort. It is a private campground in Pennsylvania, conveniently located to other popular and historic attractions. There are no other campgrounds like RV Camping Gettysburg that can creatively combine the past and the present. Gettysburg Camping is a unique campsite with so many amenities such as terraced gardens leading down to the swimming pool and a Jacuzzi complex, a bass stocked lake, paddle and fishing boats, canoes, nature trails, a children's playground, horseshoes, cabins, a state of the art bathhouse and much, much more! No wonder they got high rate on that.

Thankful Thursday - I Live For God
I apologize for my late posting of this "Thankful Thursday" I have been very busy in many things these days... and I feel like I am trapped in the middle of them. I am so tired right now.
.
For all the blessing that I received from God in every single moment, there are three big things that I want to thank God on today and these are:
1. My relationship to God. For without Him in my life, it would be empty, useless and wasted. All my labor and sacrifices would be in vain. I live For God.
2. My marriage. My marriage is my ministry. I thank God for the mutual goal we have in our marriage. I see God's blessings poured out in my marriage and scattered throughout around us as well.
3. My blog. My blog is my ministry, too. God uses my blog to bless others (I am bless, as well). I thank God for all my sponsors. It enables me raise up funds for a cause. May God bless my sponsors, too.
.
"What does the worker gain from his toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil—this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him." (Ecclesiastes 3:9-14 NIV)

Asbestos Exposure Causes Lung Cancer
During the 1950’s, people were excited about the discovery of the great use of Asbestos. Some would even call it a miracle thing because asbestos was said to protect them from fire and other things. Houses were using Asbestos on their fireplace and even on firewall, too. Sad to say, later on, thousands and thousands of cases of lung cancer (called Mesothelioma) among people were developed. Most cases of Mesothelioma are common in among workers in the shipbuilding industry, auto mechanics and constructions. What made the case worse is that, it don’t only affect the workers, it affects their family, too.
Mesothelioma is known to be one of the most fatal and preventable types of cancer. It is extremely difficult to detect in the early stages due to the common latency of symptoms until the most serious stages. Oftentimes, victims of this case have less than a year to survive. Thus, it is very important to find out if you are positive with Mesothelioma in the early stage to prevent worsening through medical treatments.
If you or somebody you love have problem associated with Asbestos exposure, make an appointment with Mesothelioma Lawyer . People who are diagnosed with mesothelioma are often entitled to compensation, and you need an aggressive and experienced mesothelioma attorney to push through successfully. Many manufacturers of asbestos have gone bankrupt over the years and only an experienced lawyer can help victims receive compensations.

How And When To Say "Thank You"
Almost universally, the first words our parents or guardians to teach us to say are “mama” or “papa.” Although some of us perhaps were quicker than others, sooner or later we made our parents proud when they heard we spoke the words they were trying to teach us. Shortly thereafter our parents attempted to grow our young and impressionable vocabularies, while making us polite children, by teaching us to say
“thank you” or some other words of appreciation.
Although our first “thank you” was likely for something given to us, we now realize that there are a lot of reasons to show our appreciation. We can say thanks for compliments, encouragement, friendship or a referral– we can even thank someone for
thanking us. In short, there is hardly an activity or event which does not provide us an opportunity to express our genuine and sincere appreciation.
Expressing gratitude is simply the polite thing to do, but knowing exactly how to say thank you can be a bit of a trick. It’s hard to know how to say thank you under different circumstances, how much is enough and when more than words might be necessary.
Should it be a real genuine emotional response, a sort of “attitude of gratitude” to those who have assisted us and made a difference in our lives or should it be an automatic response? An almost robotic sort of thing like what you find on some of your shopping receipts.
How to say "Thank You" in some country's language:
English (America, Australia, UK, New Zea.) Thank you
German (Zurich Switzerland) Merci
Hawaiian (Hawaii) Mahalo
Hmong Du (Vietnam) Ô chò
Japanese (Japan) Domo arigato
Ladino (Spain) Gracias
Tagalog (Philippines) Salamat po
('thank you" in 465 language at www.geocities.com)
Knowing when to say "Thank You?
"...give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. "1 Thessalonians 5:18 (TNIV)

I Love This Peach Trim Dress!
Most of my Filipino friends who are here have the common problem. They all gain weight after quite a while of staying here in USA. My weight was 110 lbs. when I came here and a couple of weeks after I lost almost 10 lbs. Right now, (almost a year after) I am 108 lbs. They all told me that I will be gaining more weight in the future, too. I wonder why it is so. Some told me it is because of the kind of food that we consumed here. But for me, it can be because there is not so much activities that will make us sweat here, very unlikely to Philippines, I sweat a lot there every day.
.
Gaining weight will mean the need to buy new clothes. SimplyBe.co.uk is my favorite online apparel shopping site. They have a wide selection of latest and trendy clothes. They are always first in fashionable clothes. Finding the fashionable Womens Plus Size clothings can sometimes be hard and tricky to find, but not in SimplyBe.co.uk, they made it easy for you to find your size and yet making you look great.
.
For myself, I love this peach trim dress by Jeffrey & Paula. Its color and style is very classy and can be worn both day time and night time. It looks tropical, too; perfect for my Asian skin.

Beautiful Lockers For Sale
Few years ago, when I was still studying, I used to bring a lunch pack with me. I don’t want to waste few minutes waiting on line to buy food in the cafeteria. I need that time to rest or to take a short nap. But the unpleasant thing happened one time, an “ill-mannered” classmate stole my lunch pack from my locker and ate it. Well, it was just a food, and obviously, the quality of that school locker was not good enough that he or she was able to break it open. I didn’t leave my valuable things there in that locker though.

Good Morning!
Each and very morning, I made sure that I do my devotional study before I get out from the bed. God deserves the first part of my day. As much as I need His touch in my life first thing in the morning.
.
At the same time, it is very refreshing to our heart and mind. It is displaying our needs of guidance from the Creator for the day. It is acknowledging our need for God. Like a traveller that carefully following the map.
It is a nice start to have a good day ahead, as you would have a cup of hot coffee. Start your day with God's word and let Him lead you through the day.
.
"Start the day with a deep breath, inhale all the love and goodness of GOD and exhale the worries, fears, and neagtivity, then S-M-I-L-E."
.

Happy Memorial Day!
It is my first Memorial Day here, and I asked my husband to take me to a cemetery because I wanted to see what is happening there. So, this is it, the Novesta Township Cemetery in Cass City, MI. There was parade this early morning and fireworks last night.
.
Since Memorial Day is mostly about the veterans who passed away, it reminds me of my grandfather, he was a US Veteran, too. Salute to the Veterans who were passing away!

Movie Night With Blockbuster
Every weekend night is our movie night. We used to rent six to eight DVD's and it always end up late in returning the DVD's on time and for a lot of times we have encountered late fees. We have been trying almost every online movie rental.
We heard from a friend about the BLOCKBUSTER online advantage. They have personally testified that they are happy with the Blockbuster service and Blockbuster has been able to provide them the movie much faster than the other movie rental services that they had used to, and that they had quickly responded to any problem that they had encountered.
BLOCKBUSTER offers new releases and classic DVD’s both online and in store. The good thing is, BLOCKBUSTER does not charge extra for Blu-ray Discs like others do. This means savings... and the more saving we got, the more movie we can get. Some exceptional features with their service includes movie critic reviews, 75,000 movie titles and after a free trial membership for a cheaper plan. Blockbuster Online is known as one of the largest rental movie collections around.
My husband had decided to switch to Blockbuster. Although we do not have a Blockbuster store in our area, but the good thing is that they have "mail-only" service, and it will make our renting habit a lot easier then. With all the BLOCKBUSTER Total Access plans, we can just return DVDs by mail (up to plan limits per billing month). BLOCKBUSTER By Mail will work perfect for us.

Angels & Demons
My husband and I went to Firebird Theater at Sandusky yesterday to watch the movie "Angels & Demons". I have seen the "Da Vinci Code" which was release last 2006, it has the same author, Dan Brown, but I could say that "Angels & Demons" is far better than "Da Vinci Code. If you had watch the "Da Vinci Code", you should watch the "Angels & Demons", too.
.
Angels and Demons is a fast-paced thrill ride, and an improvement on the last Dan Brown adaptation, but the storyline too often wavers between implausible and ridiculous, and does not translate effectively to the big screen.
.
The team behind the global phenomenon The Da Vinci Code returns for the highly anticipated Angels & Demons, based upon the bestselling novel by Dan Brown. Tom Hanks reprises his role as Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, who once again finds that forces with ancient roots are willing to stop at nothing, even murder, to advance their goals. Ron Howard returns to direct the film, which is produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, and John Calley.
.
After we watch the movie, we had ice cream at Dairy Queen (right beside the movie house). Dairy Queen is the famous ice cream house in the country. We had with us the half-filled bucket of pop corn that we bought from the movie house. That was a very fine day.

Moving Is Easier With "Moving Day Boxes"
The thought of moving down to Florida is exciting, but the thought of packing up our things starts giving me stress. The good thing is that we don’t have to bring all our things because we will still be coming back here after the winter, and the place that we will be temporarily moving to is fully-furnished. I realized that my life has been in constant transient for the past few years. It doesn’t bother me because I love moving around and see new places. I think I should start planning for the packing soon to minimize pressures.
.
I am mighty glad that I found this site, MovingDayBoxes.com; they are the source of premium quality moving boxes and moving supplies such as bubble wrap, moving blanket, moving tape and packing paper. They care enough to acknowledge that what we need the boxes for are the things that are valuable for us, and that is why they make sure that the size and load capacity of their moving boxes would be beneficial for us. Their boxes for moving are industry standard 32 Edge Crush Test with 200 pounds test strength. Their wardrobe boxes are perfect for those very special wardrobes that you don’t want to fold. They are very sturdy and are larger. The size is 24x24x40, a double-strength portable closet; reusable and great for storing seasonal clothes such as winter sweaters, party dresses and minks. Each wardrobe box comes with a sturdy metal hanger bar, too.
.
Their products are guaranteed to have best price than you can ever find somewhere else and free shipping on all orders. I am so happy with how other business made our life easier.

Let's Give In Season Or Out Of Season
I remember a quote; "Love the unlovable, or there is no virtue in love at all." (Anybody correct me please. My memory is not that good.) Few years back, I risked going to a place where it needed to ride on a small wooden boat to get there. I brought a bag of groceries and gave it to a very needy family. I did it regularly. I just want to make them feel that somebody cares for them, that they are part of the community and loved.
During Christmas time, it has been a custom to most individuals to give gifts. We exchanged gifts. There are also those very fortunate people who gives gifts to those unfortunate people. And even those who confessed that they don't believe in God, they still do give Christmas gifts. Odd, huh?
God taught us to give in season or out of season. He added, to do good and not look for a reward. Not for glory or fame, just give freely for God's name. Let's do good to those who have nothing to give in return. The gospel of Luke says, "If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you?" Luke 6:33

T'is The Time To Buy Bathing Suits
The weather is confusing here in Michigan. The other day was very hot that it almost burned my skin while doing some gardening and today, it is very cold that I cannot even go out to plant the flowers. The weather man says that it will be mostly sunny tomorrow. My husband told me; “Welcome to Michigan!” He used to say that phrase every time I complain about the weather here in Michigan.
.
There will be slight changes with our plan to move in Florida. Oh yes, we will still be moving there, but in a different sense. Our new neighbors got a fully-furnished slightly used trailer house in Florida, and they are making a deal with us. My husband thought that maybe we will just take the house trailer and will stay there in Florida during summer and winter time, but on spring time; we will be back here in Michigan again. Our concern is with our garden here and all that we go. But that is not the final decision though. What do you think about this?
.
But the exciting thing is, the trailer house that we are planning to buy is not too far from the beach; the Fort Myer beach. And not just that, the trailer house is located in a private park where the use of swimming pool is part of the amenities. Sounds great, huh?
.
Talking about beach and pool, it made me think that it is about time that I start picking up my choice of bathing suits. Amiclubwear.com has a huge collection of great swimsuits perfect for the fashionista. Their swimwear collection are made of high quality materials but amazingly cheaper in prices. I was browsing at all their products and I have my eyes on this, Red Circle Multi Bandeau ruched 2 piece Tankini. It features halter bandeau style top with mid ruched and two-tone pattern and with matching boy shorts with attached belt. Tankinis offer plenty of style options to make nearly anyone look great including to those who are “semi-conservative” like me. Get ready for summer swimming. Pick your choice now.

Garden Wall Fountain For Well-Being Therapy
Spring brings a lot of fun. It is about cleaning the house, tending the vegetable garden, planting flowers and making your lawn beautiful. Just lately, I saw a couple of orange birds on our garden. I don’t know what kind of bird they were. More and more birds of any kind are drawn to our garden because we hang few birdfeeders all around. We also have garden wall fountain that might have mistaken by birds as a birdbath, while at the same time, our dogs are drinking from it, too.
.
