A Pair Of Eye Wear For My Hubby

My husband’s reading problem is getting worse. Every time we do our devotion, he had to turn on three lights and have to wear his reading glasses. I know he needs a pair of new reading glasses, maybe a little higher this time. Having eye sight is something that should not be taken lightly. A good eye sight is needed for safety, especially in driving a car. I have been thinking of buying him a pair of reading glasses since Christmas, but because he needs to be with me to get the perfect one for him, that was why I didn’t.
.
I opened the website of Zenni Optical, and asked him which frame he likes, and this image shown is what he likes. Now that we have the choice of frame, then, all we need to worry is the lenses. Zenni Optical sells generic frames, including lenses with anti-scratch coating, for as little as $8. Their prices are way too cheap compares to average frame prices. At ZenniOptical.com you can find a huge selection of frames with single vision lens, sunsensor (photochromic) lens, tinted sunglasses lens, bifocal lens and progressive lens. Are you looking for cheap, yet pretty eye wear , too? Try to look at Zenni Optical. .

Zumba Fitness

Few weeks ago, Karen, a sister-in-christ encouraged me to join them in Zumba Fitness. At first, I was hesitant. Zumba is dancing, and I don't dance. But I was thinking to give it a chance. It could be fun, I thought. I had also figure it out that I need some regular exercise to stay energize and physically active for my job. I did joined. I enjoyed it very much, and I was surprised that I can at least dance. Since then, I regularly joined their Zumba class except on Sundays. The days for Zumba are on every Sunday, Monday and Friday. I am glad that I still have a chance to join it even if I am working because they start an hour after I usually get home.
.
The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. The goal is simple: To make working out more attractive. Zumba Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!
The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got a Zumba class!

.
Is this sound interesting to you? There may be a Zumba Fitness class near where you are. Maybe you should start asking around.

Get Back To The Shape

It has been almost 5 months since we moved down here in Florida. I can’t believe how much weight my husband gained in 5 months, it is because he just learned to love eating fish, clams, oysters and mussels. He gets to eat rice very often, too. That was why almost all of his pants are becoming useless now because his waistline turns into 34 from 30. He already had purchased several pairs of pants, which I didn’t agree as the solution because I believe that if he would, he could trim down his waist. There can be a lot of ways in accomplishing it such as exercise, working out and a proper diet.
.
Talking about trimming down, there are a lot of easier ways to achieve it such as diet pills, lap band and tummy tuck. I believe the latter one is the most common plastic surgery/cosmetic surgery among celebrities and non-celebrities to avail the opportunity in improving their looks to light up their social life again that can possibly open doors to a lot of opportunities. Aside from social uplifting, it also plays terrific elevation in the area of their chosen career. Talking about cosmetic surgery, Tummy Tuck Beverly Hills have the experienced and skilled surgeons to give this kind of service. They had positively given their customers a life changing experience that they wished for. Visit their site for more information.

Thankful Thursday - Worship God In Songs

It is Thursday once again. I may be late, but I don't want to miss this day in giving thanks to God for all the wondrous things He has done in my life. There are many ways we can express our gratitude to God's grace and mercy that He showers on us every day, and one of the most significant act is to sing praises to His name. Every time my husband and I do our devotion moment, we always started it out by singing a worship song to God. Here are some of the worship song phrase that describes who our God is, but before that, I would like to highlight this Bible verse:
.
"I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High." (Psalm 7:17 NIV)
.
.....*I thank God for His amazing grace.
.....*I thank God for His great love that He gave His life for me.
.....*I thank God for He who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it.
.....*I thank God for He is the rock of my salvation.
.....*I thank God for He is the air that I breath and my daily bread.
.....*I thank God for though I am weak, He made me strong.

.....*I thank God for who He is and His holiness to which all praise is due.
.....*I thank God for He is the king over the flood and that I will be still and know that He is God.
.....*I thank God for His steadfast love that extends to the heaven and His faithfulness that reaches to the sky.
.....*I thank God for there is no greater joy that I feel than being with Him.
.....*I thank God for He will make a way when there seems to be no way.
.....*I thank God for He is the peace that guards my heart.
.....*I thank God for because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
My whole timeline will not be enough in naming every single things to be thankful for. He deserves the highest praises! To God be the glory!

Looking For Car Insurance

Now that I am working, the next thing that I will need to give attention is to learn how to drive. I know that it is really very important to learn how to drive, but I wasn’t interested to learn yet, because after all, I didn’t need it yet. Soon, my husband will get a job, too, and it will be possible that our working time will conflict with each other that picking me up will be difficult for him. Then, once I learn how to drive, I will then have to buy a car, and it doesn’t end there, because I will then need to get car insurance . Whew! Expenses never cease. With all the plans that are on the way, we are hoping to be able to find cheap auto insurance and yet reliable one. We all know that there are hundreds of auto insurances in the market, but I believe that is for our advantage because it is through competitions that we can get a good deal, especially if you are diligent in searching for best service.
.
Talking about car insurance, IFA Insurance Company (IFA) is an auto insurance company with over 35 years of experience in the industry. IFA is committed to providing drivers with excellent Auto Insurance coverage, cheap auto insurance rates, convenient payment options, and prompt, professional service. If you need auto insurance, too, especially if you are located in NJ, PA and MD, I suggest that you try to visit their website to get online quotes in 60 seconds. Check on their purchase options for more information. Enjoy the ride!

The Amazing Uses Of Coffee Filters

I got this amazing tips from my friend Lynn, through email. I thought I will share this here because this is something so good to blog about. And before I go on, I would like to give the credit to my friend, Lynn. Thank you very much, Lynn.
.
Coffee filters in our cupboard lies useless because it has been a while that our coffee jar runs empty, and we don't want to buy coffee anymore because we always ended up throwing up the coffee in the night. But here's something we probably never thought about. Coffee filters can be use in multiple ways, and are better than paper towels and a lot less expensive
.
1. Cover bowls or dishes when cooking in the microwave. Coffee filters make excellent covers.
2. Clean windows, mirrors, and chrome... Coffee filters are lint-free so they'll leave windows sparkling.
3. Protect China by separating your good dishes with a coffee filter between each dish.
4. Filter broken cork from wine. If you break the cork when opening a wine bottle, filter the wine through a coffee filter.
5. Protect a cast-iron skillet. Place a coffee filter in the skillet to absorb moisture and prevent rust.
6. Apply shoe polish. Ball up a lint-free coffee filter.
7. Recycle frying oil. After frying, strain oil through a sieve lined with a coffee filter.
8. Weigh chopped foods. Place chopped ingredients in a coffee filter on a kitchen scale.
9. Hold tacos. Coffee filters make convenient wrappers for messy foods.
10. Stop the soil from leaking out of a plant pot. Line a plant pot with a coffee filter to prevent the soil from going through the drainage holes.
11. Prevent a Popsicle from dripping. Poke one or two holes as needed in a coffee filter.
12. Do you think we used expensive strips to wax eyebrows? Use strips of coffee filters..
13. Put a few in a plate and put your fried bacon, French fries, chicken fingers, etc on them. It soaks out all the grease.
14. Keep in the bathroom. They make great "razor nick fixers.."

15. As a sewing backing. Use a filter as an easy-to-tear backing for embroidering or appliquing soft fabrics.
16. Put baking soda into a coffee filter and insert into shoes or a closet to absorb or prevent odors.
17. Use them to strain soup stock and to tie fresh herbs in to put in soups and stews.
18. Use a coffee filter to prevent spilling when you add fluids to your car.
19. Use them as a spoon rest while cooking and clean up small counter spills.
20. Can use to hold dry ingredients when baking or when cutting a piece of fruit or veggies.. Saves on having extra bowls to wash.
21. Use them to wrap Chris tmas ornaments for storage.
22. Use them to remove fingernail polish when out of cotton balls.
23. Use them to sprout seeds. Simply dampen the coffee filter, place seeds inside, fold it and place it into a plastic baggie until they sprout.
24. Use coffee filters as blotting paper for pressed flowers. Place the flowers between two coffee filters and put the coffee filters in phone book..
25. Use as a disposable "snack bowl" for popcorn, chips, etc.
.
Don't you think this is cool?

Watch Your Words

Several weeks ago, my friend spotted me online on Facebook, he took the chance to ask me about the "acronym" "ttyl". At first, I didn't understand what he meant, then, it sparks on my mind that what he meant must be some kind of a text message, and I told him that it means "talk to you later". He was very happy that I had enlightened him about it, and I gave him the website to get more about this stuff.
.
Personally, I don't find it easy to keep up with the shorthand that accompanies today's fast-paced, youth-oriented electronic communication. In IM-speak (Instant Message talk) or text-message language; "laughing out loud" = "lol" "by the way" = "btw" "got to go" = "g2g" "hugs and kisses" = "xoxo""oh my god" = "omg"(and this one that i don't like...)"oh my 'freaking' god" = "omfg".
.
The last two phrase seems to be on the lips of many as an expressions. But we need to realize, we have to honor God by not flippantly using His holy name. Hold it before you utter it, and remind yourself, God don't deserve His name to be used that way. While Jesus was on earth, He taught His disciple on how to pray. "Our Father, hallowed be Your name." (Matthew 6:9) Obviously, God's name itself is special. It encompasses His nature. He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universeIn every way possible, we should honor and protect God's holy name, preserving its use for those occasions when we are speaking for His glory. Let's be careful never to turn the holy name of our awesome and and mighty God into another flippant phrase on our lips, not even in a text messages.
.
"You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God," Exodus 20:7

It's My Day Off

Whew! I was working six days in a row. I am glad to have a day off from work today. Oh, I know. I did not mention in my previous post that I got a job already… opps, not a job, but two jobs. Yes. I thank God very much for these blessings. Well, both of them are only part time jobs, and I don’t have to work in one job or the other every day, that is why I can have both of them. The first job I got is hotel housekeeping and the other one is a school cafeteria help. Both of them required tremendous energy and motivation, which I am prepared to do so.
.
Since I don’t have to work today, I spent my day in cleaning our house, preparing to make a handmade greeting card, while listening to my mp3 player. It is a good way of relaxing both my mind and body. Music is good for the soul, as they say.
.
If you are curious where to find good songs to download for your mp3 player, here is Mp3 Hunting that I am positive that you will enjoy with all the latest songs that are available in there. Enjoy and have a relaxing day to everyone.

Spring Time Is Tee Time

Being here in Florida, these past few weeks’ news were talking a lot about the big figure in the golf sport, Tiger Woods. I am a big fan on him, and I hope that he can soon bring his life back to whole again. I started to become interested with the sports golf during the peak of Tiger Woods’ success. Golf, according to others, is considered the most expensive sports because of all the expense that goes with it; one example is the golf shoes which were reported to be very expensive. The golf's increased popularity was attributed to Woods' presence. He was credited for dramatically increasing prize money in golf, generating interest in new audiences as the first person of African American descent to win the Masters, and for drawing the largest TV audiences in golf history.
.
After the ever-long winter we are experiencing here in Florida, my husband is looking forward for an interesting springtime Myrtle Beach Golf vacation. He thought that golfing would be a good idea. It is a good way of family bonding together, and at the same time, introducing this sport to the new generation in our family.
.
Myrtle Beach Golf Packages offers time-flexible and wide selection of golf specials to choose from. Excellent relationships with the area's leading lodging facilities, car rental agencies, airlines, restaurants and spas allow us to help you complete your golf vacation experience. Getting Physically Ready

A week ago, I bought a pair of rubber shoes for my Zumba Class. A member in our church offered to give us free Zumba class on every Monday and Friday afternoon. This is very favorable on my side, because I needed to be getting physically ready for my job.
.
Zumba class is fun. Many church-goers joins and we were just having fun dancing, while at the same time, burning calories, learning to move around faster and beating off the depression. We always have an hour session of Zumba, and by the end of the class, everybody just felt great.
.
The part that I like is that it made me sweat a lot, learned how to dance and it increases my mobility which is very important for my job. My husband was early in picking me up this afternoon, we were still dancing when he came, so he had decided to join us. He enjoyed it very much. He used to be a dancer when he was younger. Well, he still dance now. :)

Playing Piano As A Form Of Worship To God

When I was still in the Philippines, I had always wanted to learn how to play piano. I really would like to play piano as my form of worship to our God. But because I can’t afford to buy one, then I thought it will stay a dream for the rest of my life. When I arrived in Michigan, in my husband’s parent’s house, I was so happy to find out that they have piano in the house. I then asked my best friend back in the Philippines to send me the songbook I had. Now, I am ready to learn to play piano.
.
Go with me to this website that teaches on how to play accompaniment piano . According to Yokewong of HowToAccompany.com; “Becoming an efficient piano or music sight reader takes a lot of practice. There are a few rules that will help speed up and help improve your playing ability. Music sight reading skills and accompaniments skills are the two most important skills any pianist can possess."
.
There are really a lot of helpful and informative things that you can learn from this website. If you are currently learning to play piano, this website would surely help a lot. Start it by hopping to its website now.

Food Trip Friday #19 - Carbonara

I am joining Mommy Willa on this "Food Trip Friday" meme for a reason that I want to challenge myself to try something new food at least once a week in order for me to learn to cook.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
During my last few months when I was still in the Philippines, I learned to make Carbonara, and I made it several times to introduce to my family and friends. They all love it. Actually, I bought the Carbonara sauce mix made by McCormick, so it was really very easy to made Carbonara.
.
When I came here in USA, I brought with me two pack of Carbonara sauce mix, looking forward to make it soon after I came here, but it didn't happened.
.
My Filipino neighbor/friend was making Carbonara and invited me over to taste it. Hmm, it was so good. It sparks the eagerness in me to do it, too. So, I bought what I needed and made it. Here are the things that we need to make this kind of Carbonara:
* 6 strips bacon, cut into small slices
* I pack McCormick Carbonara Sauce Mix (35 g)
* 1 cup fresh milk (but we preferred all purpose cream to make it thicker)
* 200 grams pasta ( I like using Penne Rigate)
Directions:
*Cook the pasta according to the instruction of its package.
*Cook bacon in a frying pan over medium heat until crisp. (My friend use chicken liver which I find very good, but because my husband don't eat chicken liver, I have to stick to bacon.)
*Dissolve Carbonara sauce mix in milk (or all purpose cream) and pour over bacon.
*Stirring constantly, bring to a boil and simmer for 1 minute.
*Serve over freshly cooked pasta and garnish with parmesan cheese (if you want, we don't)
*And I like to garnish it with a lot of chopped green onions.
.
You can be creative on it. Enjoy your Carbonara. :)

Philippine's Poor Postal Service

I am so upset after I learned that my second letter that I mailed for my mama in the Philippines three weeks ago, still did not arrive. I am almost two years here in USA, and it always took two weeks for my letter to get to her.
.
December 5th of last year, I mailed the letter to my mama, assuming that she would get it before Christmas Day. Come Christmas Day. Come New Year's Day. Come my mama's birthday (January 13th). The letter did not get to her. The good thing was, I had saved the letter on my document, and I have decided to re-print the same letter and sent it again to her on 25th of January. Come Valentine's Day. Today is 18th of February, I asked my sister about it and told me that no letter ever arrived since December.
.
It is very frustrating. My mama really wants and needs to regularly receiving letter from me. It is running for four months since the last time she got one from me. I don't want her to be sad. I may not know what exactly happened to my letters, but I want to say that I blamed it on the Philippine's poor postal service. It is one most common problem we have in the Philippines, especially during Christmas season. Letters, packages or cards are either lost, opened or delayed. It once made me mad, but what can we do. We can't pinpoint whose fault were they.
.
But my concern is, aside from robbing something from packages or envelops, they are robbing people's joy, the joy they got from receiving letter and read it. The joy of long-distance communication. Somehow, I am still hoping that those letter will show up. For the meantime, I will again re-print the same letter, and will send it out again. I hope this poor government service will soon resolve, and stopped the crime.

Gold As A Hobby

My husband just told me about this very interesting hobby which is called gold panning. I didn’t understand it until he explained to me the whole scenario. It is a family outdoor recreation where you go in national forest areas to pan for gold. It is legal, provided that you don’t use machinery. God panning is fun, and ideal for having customized gold coins or gold jewelries. Sounds cool, huh?
.
If you are interested on customized gold coins or gold jewelries, there is an easiest way is to get gold rather than gold panning, and it is to purchase gold from a very reliable source. Goldline International is the rare coins and precious metals investors. Visit their website for buy gold prices. There are a lot more very interesting information you will find in their site.

Thankful Thursday - We Praise Your Glorious Name

It is Thankful Thursday once again. I don't want to miss my chance to give thanks to God, especially for the very good thing that I am receiving from God lately. But before that, I would like to highlight this verse;
.
"Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name." (1 Chronicles 29:13 NIV)
.
....*First of all, I thank God for the job He gave to me. It is only a part time job, but I believe God is preparing my body, by starting to give me a part time job, so that I will get use to working. It has been more than five years ago since the last time I was working. I am so happy with my first job here in USA. Thank you very much, our Father God.
....*I thank God for giving me friends and families that are very concerned on me and prayed for me to have a job soon.
....*I thank God for the good health He gave to me, my husband, my mama, my parents-in-law and everybody else.
....*I thank God for all the sponsored post that has keep coming, helping me to raise money.
....*I thank God for all the food that we eat.
....*I thank God for all those who take time to visit and comments on my posts.
And many, many more. Giving thanks to God is one form of worship to Him. To God be the glory always!

Time For Getting Own Domain

I have been blogging for almost two years now, and blogging gave a lot of good things to me. I am considering getting my own domain. Having own domain is a privilege for bloggers like me who participated in some of paid posting networks because most of them preferred it. To get your own domain is both risky and costly. And most users were having confusion with its uploading data. Through net browsing, I found this budget host in WebHostingGeeks.com. It is a webhosting service expert for web services and they give away at least one free domain name registration for their clients. This sounds like this is exactly what I needed.
.
I know a lot of friends who have more than one blog/site. Now I understand why. With their budget host, I would probably do the same. But I wonder how they got the time to manage all of them. But I can’t really decide what to do. I heard that getting own domain can mean starting all over again. They say that the blog PR will turn back to 0. I don’t want that to happen to my blog. Somebody suggest keeping my blog and getting a domain for my second and/or third site. I guess they are right.

To Have A Dream House

As a married couple, it is so nice to be on our own. We have been living with my parents-in-law for 14 months, and finally, we are able to live that house and be on our own. My parents-in-law were very supportive with our decisions. It was not because they want us to leave them, but it was because they want to see us living our lives responsibly and independently. We did not fail them. We showed them that we can and we do. They are so happy about it. Right now, we are living in an apartment, and looking forward to be able to build our dream house in the future.
.

For Her. For Him.

Belated happy "Love's" Day to all of you. I apologize for the late greeting. I have been very busy lately that I was not able to post about Valentine's Day.
.
In the morning of the Valentine's Day, we went to church. After the service, there were lunch served at the cafeteria (proceeds goes to fund raising for the mission). After lunch, we went home, and there my husband and I exchanged our gifts to each other. We agreed not to give something consumable like flowers, candy or chocolates, but instead, to give each other what we think is needed.
I gave my present firts. It is a pajama set and a handmade card (I made myself). I gave him pajama set because 3 of his pajama set were badly ripped very lately.

After I gave mine, it was my husband's turn. He made me close my eyes, and led me to the guest room, and there I saw it, a portable electric sewing machine and a message card. I was really surprised. I didn't expect to received something that worth like this. I am so happy. He knows I will be happy to have this. I have been telling him several months ago that if we got money, we will get a portable electric sewing machine. I love sewing. I have been making dress since I was 12 years old. I had spent 5 years working as a sewer in a garment factory. I have been into sewing business (self-employment) for 4 years. And now, I am so excited to revive my passion in sewing. I guess I don't have to buy pajamas for my husband, anymore. Instead, I will just make pajamas for him. Hmm... It made sense. (he-he-he)
.
Later that afternoon, we went to the mall to watch Avatar. We were both hesitant to watch that, but because of the recommendation of his family and friends, that was why we choose to watch Avatar, and to our surprise, we like the movie. It was not what we expected. It was really a good movie and we are glad we watch it. After the movie, we went home, and there he made romantic dinner with candle lights and music. It was such a great dinner. Thank you very much, my huckleberry. I love you very much.

Football As Family Bonding

Football season is over, and for those who are involved in sports bet , it is the time of either paying or collecting the bet. All the men in my husband’s family are involved in football sports betting. At first, I found it annoying that my husband is into this activity, but then, I realized this kind of activity made all the men in his family bond together. They meet together in one house, discuss about it, laugh about it and yeah, spend money on it. I found out, too, that they really didn’t set the bet too high. Just enough to put sparks on their activity.
.
Talking about sports bet, my husband's family check online to get hints and lead on football betting . I found out that sports betting are really applicable to all kinds of sports. Please forgive my ignorance. I was not really a sports-minded person when I was still in the Philippines. During the first few times that I was watching football games, I can’t help but laughed every time a player was being knocked off. It went like that for the entire 2008 season. Then, slowly, I begin to understand the play and became interested as well.

United States Of Snow

Wow! It snows in all 49 states of America. Have you read from Yahoo News the article that says instead of calling it United States of America, they now call it United States of Snow. Forget the red and blue, America is all white now. This event is so cool. My Filipino neighbor went to Georgia to visit a relative, and she sent me text message this morning, told me how happy she was because she finally had the chance to see the beauty of snow. But guess what? She sent me another text message this night, told me that she had enough. She wants to come back here in Florida right away because it is very cold there. I can’t blame her. That is the reason why I convinced my husband that we moved here all the way from Michigan. Another friend of mine, Lynn, in Ohio, she wanted to move here in Florida soon, too.

Talking about moving, there are many things to consider prior to the moving plan, and one of them is to find a reliable mover’s service. My husband took a lot of time doing that. Movers.com is there to help you at every step of the way from planning a move to loading a moving truck to settling into your new home. They give services to local movers , long distance movers, special movers and international movers. If you are in need of their service, I suggest that you start to get information for moving estimates . Local moving service is also available. Visit their website for free local moving quotes . Their service will make you relax as you start with your moving process.

Printing Problem

For the past few weeks, I have been straining too much our printer from working so hard; printing multiple copies of my resumes and certificates. Although I don’t have assignment as of now yet, but I am very hopeful that it will be very soon. I had my orientation last Tuesday, and had my finger printing and drug test yesterday. My employer told me that once everything will be set, he will call me to start.
.
My husband did the same thing, too. He made a lot of copies of his resumes and certificates. He received a letter from the government for his finger printing, too, the other week. Hopefully, he will be called next week to start the assignment.
.
Poor printer. I appreciate so much its service to us. Actually, its performance became poor lately. After few copies, the black became gray, and sometimes, there are strange lines across the paper. It is about time that we change its ink. Dell Ink Cartridges are easy to find online. My husband is the expert one when it comes to that stuff. We always shop online for things other than food. It saves us time and gas in that way.

How Is Your Stress Level?

Figuring that I will be working soon, I started to think of involving myself to work out activities. The last time I worked was five years ago, and I feel like I easily get stressed out nowadays. With all those foods that I ate, especially chocolate ice cream every night, I know I need to burn out some calorie in me. I wish it is not that cold here in Florida, so that I can do some walking or biking at the park, but it is just so hard for me to do some outdoor activities in this kind of weather we have here in Florida. Indoor work out is my other option.
.
Talking about indoor work out, I just found out this Power 90 . It is a DVD program guaranteed to get into great shape, fat loss throughout the entire body, one area at a time, for 30 minutes a day in just 90 days. But if you want faster result, Insanity Workout could be for you. This program will have you work out at 85% of your maximum ability. The result is faster and more intensifying. It is a challenge of switching between aerobic and anaerobic intervals performed at your maximum level which will result to burn up to 1,000 calories per hour and get the results in just 60 days. And for the busy individuals, 10 Minute Trainer is ideal. This technique allows you to build a workout program to fit your needs and your schedule in 10-minute increments! It is a combine cardio and strength training simultaneously, rather than one followed by the other.
.
Cars that are not running around too much are most likely to have engine problem soon. It is the same thing with human body. We need exercise and work out to maintain our stress level. If you don’t know how and what to do, visit ExtremeBodyWorkout.com.

Thankful Thursday - Prayer Of A Righteous Man

It is Thursday once again. Let us make this day the day that Satan dreaded, second to Sunday. I am so excited to share to you what God has done in my life, all to the glory of His name. But before I write down my list, I want to highlight this Bible verse;
.
"The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." (James 5:16b NIV)
.
...*I thank God for the good health that God gave to me, my husband, my mama and to the rest of my love-ones. (Even to our dogs.)
...*I am very thankful to God for the work that I will soon have. Yes. My employer gave me orientation yesterday, and I had drug test and finger printing this day. I am very happy for that. He deserves the highest praise on this.
...*I thank God for placing us to a church where we really feel we belong to.
...*I thank God that my marriage is becoming sweeter as the days go by.
...*I thank God for all my sponsored post throughout the weeks.
...*I thank God for my using me and my blog to bless others.
...*I thank God for all the bloggers that visited me and may He bless all your blogs, too.
...*I thank God for keeping us safe in everything we do and every where we go.
...*I thank God for the spiritual blessings He poured on me and on my husband. It is our desire that His name be glorified in our life.
...*I thank God for preparing my self into having job soon through the regular physical activities that I am currently committing on. God really knows what we need and when we need it. We can not ran out of things to thank God. Let us grab the opportunity to glorify God's name by citing the things that we are so thankful to God for He deserves it.

Time For A Change

“What happened to me?” I asked my husband. I am worried. Every after we have our dinner, I have the urge to eat chocolate ice cream. I was trying to hold it, but it made me feel uncomfortable that I have to give in as not to make myself feel miserable. I know this is not good for me because I noticed that it made me having difficulties waking up in the morning. I got to do something to stop this. I tried having cookies and hot tea this night. I think it is better than the chocolate ice cream. I don’t mean to say they are bad, but as of my case, which I don’t go out very often because of the cold weather outside, I needed to be watchful in what I am eating.
.
I’m not afraid that I could get bigger though. I have been small-built all my life, and I think I want to experience how it is to have bigger body. Time for a change, as they say.My husband didn’t mind it if I became bigger. He assured me of that. Well, let’s see. The only thing that will be a problem is that I will need to buy women's large clothing . Well, I guess it is time to do some shopping. I do most of my shopping online. What about this one? I love blue, and it is my husband's favorite color, too. This is from SimpleBe.co.uk. Their styles are fashionable and tricky to find.

Cleanliness - A Habit For Lifetime

When it comes to driving a car, I am really happy of how my husband handles it. He is really very careful and takes full attention on the road. There was one time that after we took off from the car, I said to him; “I like you.” He was laughing. He thought I was playing around. He didn’t know what I had in mind and I didn’t bother to explain it to him. But above all, I always pray to God for my husband’s safety on the road. That is really very important, because we don’t own our life.
.
Well, he got flaws, too. It has been awhile since the last time our car had a wash. My husband hates doing it. He keeps saying that he will take it to the car wash, but he often put the thought aside. Having a clean car inside and outside reflects the personality of the owner. And not just that… it also contribute to the car’s durability. I suggested a better way to my husband regarding the car washing. Why don’t we purchase a pressure washer? In that way, I can do the cleaning myself.
.
Talking about car cleaning, Nilfisk pressure washers comes on our way. Their pressure washers are supplied with four meters of high pressure hose and an adjustable lance nozzle for fan or an open jet water pattern, this pressure washer has a working pump pressure of 80 bar (1160psi) with a maximum pump pressure of 100 bar (1450psi). Delivering a powerful six litres per minute (360 litres/hour), the unit is fitted with a Total Stop Valve that automatically starts and stops the motor each time the trigger is operated so increasing the life of the motor. These can be find in WorldOfPower.co.uk. They also have Nilfisk electric pressure washers which are ideal for all-around use, especially around the house.
.
Cleanliness is one effective way to make anything last. Let us make cleanliness a habit for a lifetime.

Endeavor's Launching

It was 4 o'clock in the morning, my husband woke me up, a shuttle launching was scheduled in a few minutes. I got up hurrily, put on another pajamas, socks, sweater, gloves and bonnet. I grab our binoculars, and we rushed outside where Aunt Katy, Aunt Sallie and our neighborhood were gathered together to watch the lauching of Endeavor.
.
We did not have to wait too long, and there we saw what it looks like a ball of fire. The sight was just so awesome. Better than daytime. I cannot recall how many times I witnessed a shuttle launching, but this was by far the best of all.
.
The Endeavor's (STS-130) mission will be to deliver a third connecting module - the Tranquility node - to the International Space Station and a seven-windowed cupola to be used as a control room for robotics. The STS-130 crew is using Endeavour’s robotic arm, orbiter boom extension and specialized cameras to capture detailed video of the spacecraft’s heat shield. The inspection gives experts on the ground 3-D views of the shuttle’s heat shield to ensure no damage occurred during liftoff.
.
God bless the Endeavor's mission and its crews. May they all come home safe and successful.

Knowing The Construction Of Your Building

Few weeks ago, my husband and I came home early afternoon from a job interview, and we were alarmed by the sight of several fire trucks inside the complex where we live. Obviously, the problem was not from our building because they passed it, and shortly after, we found out that it was from Aunt Kathy’s building, so we rushed to their place. There they were, outside the building, kept safe by the firefighters, and there the building, smoked, blacked and soaked from the fire hose water. The fire started at other resident’s unit which was on second floor. We thank God that nobody was hurt, although all the things in the unit where the fire started were all ruined, if not totally burned.
.
Fire is really a big damage to our living if it hits us. That is why we always have to be careful with everything that has to do with that accident. Personally, I always make sure that the house is in safe condition even if we are just inside the house, more so ever, if we left the house. But of course, it is true that sometimes, no matter how careful we are, fire can start up beyond our control, especially if you live in a condo, complex or apartment. That is why it is very important to be informed about the materials and application they used in the construction of the building.
.
Let me share to you this website that can be of great help when it comes to building construction; Fluortherm.com. One of the very important things for consideration is the heat shrink tubing . It is a perfect mix of the security to which it can conform which has an upper use temperature of 400 deg F (204 deg C). The high temperature, corrosion resistant tubing protects covered parts from chemical attack and mechanical damage. The seamless jacket is clear, electrically insulating, anti-stick and shows excellent weathering properties. FEP Tubing (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene tubing) are for many things than I can imagine and some of them are the following: heat exchangers, medical tubing, telephone primary wire-coating insulation, release film, coatings, fiber optic applications, underground sampling water lines and many more. Polytetrafluoroethylene is used for many years for transferring highly caustic or corrosive chemicals. It is also for replacing carbon and other metal piping that deteriorates rapidly. For more information about PTFE Properties , I suggest that you visit their website which they periodically updated for new issues.

Congratulations To The Saints!

We were at Orville's house this afternoon to watch the Super Bowl XLIV. This is my second time watching Super Bowl here in USA, but I was not serious watching about it last time. We had Super Bowl food such as hotdogs, sausage, meatball and pizza. Mary brought a cake and served it with chocolate ice cream. We had fun today watching the game while enjoying the food with the family. Football day is family day.
.
I was not a sport fan, but because my husband and his entire family are football fans, and I started to become interested in that game, even though there are a lot of times that it gave me hives because of too much tension I took from watching the game. Please bear with me.
.
It was the New Orleans Saints who won. That was a good game to both teams, Indianapolis Colt and New Orleans Saints. According to my husband, they haven't won yet for a long time, and he wished that this time they will win, which really happened. Congratulations to the Saints!

Looking For Reliable Internet Service To Make Life Easier

How is my internet connection here now? It is sad to say that my internet connection here is still the same. Unfortunately, the one that I was talking about, they don’t have service in our location. Does they mean that we are located in a remote area? I can’t believe that. We are only 45 minutes away from Orlando. So, here I am, looking for another option. I really need a faster internet, because I hate wasting my time in waiting for its very slow downloading. It affected my entire day activities.
.
Our next card right now is to try the satellite internet service . I read from the website of MyBlueDish that they provides high speed internet for even the most remote rural locations everywhere in the continental of U.S.A. It download speeding is up to 1.5 mbps. 30X faster than dial up. This sounds good to me.
.
Talking about remote locations, I miss those days that we were in Kingston, MI. If not for the need to work, we wouldn’t have to leave that small town. I just love the country living because of its peaceful, relaxing and less traffic environment. I just love the moment that I sat down at our patio and there I saw deer playing at a distant, squirrels, hummingbirds and many other kinds of birds. We didn’t have problem with our internet connection then. It is really important to have a reliable, high speed internet connection when you live in that kind of place so that you don’t have to get to city very often to do things such as banking or paying bills, because you can just do them online via reliable satellite internet service.

Sing A Song To Your Maker

I love birds. There are a lot of different kind of birds here in Florida. I enjoy looking at them. When I was still in the Philippines, I love the way how I woke up every morning. Birds would gather near our window and start singing. It is very pleasant to my ears. The beautiful part of it is that hearing another birds from a distant responding, too.
.
Birds sing because they have a syrinx instead of a larynx. The syrinx is the bird's voice box, an organ that lies deep in a bird's chest and is uniquely fashioned for song. That, at least, is the natural explanation for their gift.
.
But let me ask you, why do birds sing? They sing because their Creator put a song in their hearts. Each bird is "heaven's high and holy muse," created to draw our hearts up to our Creator. They are reminders that He has given us a song that we may sing His praise.
.
So when you hear God's little hymn-birds singing their hearts out, remember to sing your own song of thanksgiving, too. Sing a song to your maker.
.
"Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises." (Psalm 98:4 NKJV)

Food Trip Friday #18 - Sinigang Na Baboy (Pork In Sour Broth)

I am joining Mommy Willa on this "Food Trip Friday" meme for a reason that I want to challenge myself to try something new food at least once a week in order for me to learn to cook.
.
.
.
.
.
When I was still in the Philippines, Sinigang na Baboy (pork in sour broth) was one of my favorite dish. I have been dying to eat that food when we were still in Michigan. A month ago, we were at one of the Filipino Fast Food here in Merritt Island, and saw that they have Sinigang na Baboy (pork in sour broth). I was so happy, bought one serving of it and took it home with me. One serving (one small bowl) was $5.00, and to somebody who miss it very much, it was not enough.
.
A week later, my Filipino friend/neighbor went to Orlando and saw a Filipino market, bought a bag of kangkong, gabi (yam) and everything else that was needed, made Sinigang na Baboy (pork in sour broth) and invited me and my husband over dinner at their house. It was so good. Surprisingly, my husband liked it, that it challenged me to make Sinigang na Baboy (pork in sour broth) for our dinner, too.
.
So, I did. With the help of Mama Sita's, I did. Although I did not follow all the ingredients that is recommended, and have it customized to what we want in it, but it turned out great that my husband and I really enjoyed it. He loves Filipino foods and I love him even more for that. :)
.
Sinigang na Baboy (Pork in Sour Broth)
Ingredients:
*10 cups water
*4-5 large tomatoes
*1 large onions (quartered)

*1 kilo pork (cubed 2")
*4 pieces long green pepper
*4 medium size yam (cut into 8 parts)

.........I put more than just 4 cups of kangkong because my husband and I both love it.

*Add the tomatoes, yam, onions and pepper. Simmer until the potatoes gets tender.
*Pour in Mama Sita's Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix. Increase the heat and bring to a rolling boil.
*Add the long green pepper. Seasoned and taste. Cover and simmer for another 3 minutes.

Atlantic Seafood Market

It has been awhile since the last time I had fish, and so I told my husband that I miss to eat fish and right away we went to our favorite seafood market, the Atlantic Seafood Market. It is located in Cape Canaveral (FL) which is only 15 minutes away from our place. We both like this store because they have a wide selection of fresh seafoods and fresh fish. If you love fish and is looking for a good place to buy it fresh, you gotta try this one. It is located by the ocean, so it is really attractive to those who are seafood lovers. But unfortunately, they don't have our favorite fish which is the snapper. The owner says that the snapper is being banned as of now, and will be available again in the six month. Well, I guess I will need to try another fish and see if we will going to love it. For the meantime, we will go for clams which became my husband's favorite, too.
.
I am posting this right from my Blackberry cellphone because our internet connection is slow again. Soon, we will be getting a new internet connection, but for the meantime, I am glad that I can read and write post on my blog.

Wasting Time And Get Back To Productivity

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Charter. All opinions are 100% mine.
2
Looking back, I know I used to post here in my blog multiple times a day, every day, and I realized that after we moved here in Florida, there are several days that I did not post anything on my blog at all. Why is it? It is because of the slow internet we have. Although sometimes I thought that having slow internet connection made me divert my time to some other things that needs attention, which sounds fantastic, but still, I find myself wasting too much time every time I sit down here in front of my computer to either check my mail, listening to online sermon or post on my blog. Of all the things that I hate, wasting time is on top of it. Every single seconds that we wasted, if we add up all of them, we would just be amazed at how many hours it turned up within a year.
.
It is really frustrating looking and waiting at the progress bar that is very slowly progressing to take me where I want to. Hey, we live in a time where everything is almost instant from food, delivery service and instant coffee, and all that contribute to our desire of not wasting time, and here is the internet that we have, that supposes to be faster that everything else... sigh...
.
Anyway, I think we need to look for better service. There is no way I can live like this anymore. This made me become unproductive and aimless because it ruined my plan for the day. I need to be able to get back to what I used to do, to do more things online and at the same time; I was saving time, too. I should stop waiting and get going . I heard that DSL is now the new dial-up. It is a high-speed internet for only $19.00 a month. They have the speed that guaranteed our satisfaction that we demand in this age. And they even install for free just to help us keep going. I think they are thoughtful, aren’t they? For more information about their service, you can find them on Charter’s Facebook page . I am really excited to restart my blogging normal activities once again.

Truths That Some Christians Don't Want To Hear

I am still on my book "Cat & Dog Theology" by Bob Sjorgen and Gerald Robison. It is really a good book. I came across this passage that says there are truths that Christians don't want to hear. Undeniably, it is always the good things that we heard from the minister, but the truth is, there are these "unpleasant truths" that we need to hear and I want to share these here on my blog.

.
*Your siblings are going to sell you off as a slave so that God can use you in a foreign land. (From the story of Joseph)
*God might want you to marry a person from another culture just so you can bond with your in-law and show her kindness after your spouse dies. (From the story of Ruth)
*You are to be a prophet to the church, jailed, and you won't see fruit for most of your years of ministry. (From the story of Jeremiah)
*God might want our country to be invaded and devastated to get the gospel outside of it. (The dipersion)
*God might want you to be thrown into a blazing fire to show His power. (The story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego)
*God might want you to be stoned to death. (From the story of Stephen)
*God might want you to be forcefully taken from your home, become the leader of another country, and then be cheated and thrown into a lion's den. (From the story of Daniel)
*God might want a famine to come to your land so that you might move to another country and share your faith. (From the story of Abraham's first missionary journey to Egypt)
*God might want you to become a slave to reach out to other people. (From the story of the young girl in 2Kings 5)
*God might test you by having all of your assets taken away, having your children killed and inflicting you with severe pain. (From the story of Job)
*God might want you in jail to share your faith with others. He might want you beaten with rods, stoned, shipwrecked, naked, cold, hungry, and beten with thirty-nine lashes multiple times. (From the story of the apostle Paul)
.
Why aren't we commonly taught these lessons? Frankly, they don't sell well. If they don't sell well, then, of course, church attendance would be low. With low church attendance, it will resulted to low income. With less money in the church, you can't do more things for the kingdom.
.
This post is taken from the book that I mentioned above on pp. 86-87.

Top 10 Entrecard Droppers- January '10

Whew! Here I go again. I am (AGAIN!) a day late on posting my Top 10 EC Droppers for the month of January '10. But hey, it's not as worst as the previous months. What kept me? It is was my husband who used the computer most of the time, trying to find ways to watch his favorite TV shows using internet. I thought tv torrents could be very helpful to him on this case.

Anyway, here is my post of expressing my sincere gratitude to all my EC droppers again, especially these top 10 Entrecard droppers of the month of January '10. I thank you on helping me be where I am now. I acknowledge that you contributed very much on why I am still here. I appreciate your dropping very much. I also wants to thank even to those who are not in the list. I know who you are. May all our websites/blogs be successful on this new year 2010.
