I am ready to purchase my airline ticket going to Philippines anytime, but what keeps me is the fact that I don’t know when to go. My first and ideal option will be on the last week of August, but I have a feeling that it could be sooner than that.
.
For the meantime, I am still working, giving the best performance that I could. And while I am trying to raise up money for my spending, I am also starting to buy stuff that I could give to my family in the Philippines. A week ago, I was talking to them and asked them what they want me to buy for them. They were all excited as they were figuring out what to say. My mother did not ask anything. I know. She just want me to be there. That’s the gift that she wants from me, my presence. But I am still going to buy stuff for her though.
.
One of the things that I want to buy for her is an eyeglass frame. She has been wearing reading glasses for decades now. I found some very affordable yet very presentable eye glasses in Zenni Optical. At ZenniOptical.com you can find a huge selection of frames with single vision lens, sunsensor (photochromic) lens, tinted sunglasses lens, bifocal lens and progressive lens. The secret to their low prices is that they sell only their own manufactured frames direct to the customer, with no middlemen and virtually no advertising budget.

If You Don't Like Where You Are, Move. You Are Not A Tree.
When I committed myself to become a wife to a foreigner, of course, goes with it was the assumption of living in a foreign country for good. I was excited with the thought. I always have the sense of adventure in me. It took me over a year staying here in USA before I started to feel homesickness. Thanks for the internet and long distance telephone calling; without them I couldn’t have lasted this long. The funny thing is that I am now the “foreigner” in this country.
.
My husband and I were talking about emigrating to other country in maybe several years from now. We haven’t decided on which country yet, but the thought alone gets me excited already. I know some people hates being mobile very often, but not me. I find it exciting.
.
Talking about excitement, and if to emigrate sparks an interest in you, I suggest that you visit the website Emigrate.co.uk. I find a whole bunch of interesting information from them. They are the number one emigration advice site in the UK, with daily updates in emigration news, emigration guides and some good stuff over at the emigration blog. It is jam packed with useful stuff for people thinking of emigrating. Their services includes emigration, immigration, visa types and educate you on the relevant laws of emigration. This website comes in very handy way with their guide for every country on Emigrating over there.

Thankful Thursday - God Is Our Sufficiency

I miss posting my Thankful Thursday last week because our connection was not good. It may be late for this post today, but I definitely don't want to miss to post my TT entry today. I want to acknowledge God on everything that He did in my life. Before I cite my blessings, I want to highlight this verse:
.
"Our sufficiency is from God." 2 Corinthians 3:5
.
...*First and the biggest blessings I got this week is the recovery of my mama. I am really rejoicing over it. I miss my mama and is currently working with my plan to visit her soon.
...*I greatly thank God that I am still on my job. There were a total of 5 persons who were fired since I started working in that company, and I was not sure what was the reason, but this afternoon, before I went home, I was talking to somebody in the office and was told that there is a change of management. I don't know for how long I will be working in this company but one thing I know, God knows my needs. So, I put my job in His hand.
...*I thank God for the good health and safety I and my husband have everyday and on overy activities we are into.
...*I thank God for His the blessings, provision, loving-kindness and grace He showered on us day by day.
...*I thank God for those days that my parents-in-law are with us here in Florida. We enjoyed having them around. We love them so much. We had good time being togethere and we miss them already.
...*I thank God for all the sponsors that I had on my blog and to all who visits my blogs.
Giving thanks to God is more than just words; it is also in action and in thoughts. It is one form of worship to our God. Every single things around us and in us are chances to give thanks to God.

Thank You For Your Prayers
I want to say thank you very much for all those who take time to read about my previous post especially about my mama being sick, and to those who wish her good health and prayed for her. Your blessings from God are sure to come. It will never miss you. Few days ago, my nephew told me that my mama is doing better, and it made me really happy and relieved. Tonight, I will be calling my sister to ask my mama’s condition, and if possible, I will be talking to my mama, too. I am really excited to hear her voice tonight.
.
I don’t have a fix date on when I will be visiting Philippines because of my job. I thought, it will be whenever I will be ready moneywise. My plan is not later than last week of August, but it can possibly be sooner than that. It will depend on the way my job goes through.
.
Few days ago, I was sad because another co-worker was fired. It made me scared, too, because I was thinking that anytime I could be the next one. I wish I know what the reason was, but I don’t want to ask around. Because of what happened, I did the best of best that I can in my job. In fact, when they told me that I have to work yesterday (it supposed to be my day off per my request that was approved a week ago), I didn’t complain at all. I just can’t. And besides, the one who approved that requested day off was on vacation.
.
Anyway, I don’t know for how long I will be working in that company, but as long as I am working, God knows that I am giving all my best and I am honest in everything. Being a good steward includes honest working. To God be the glory.

Baseball Time Is Men Bonding Time
When I was still in the Philippines, I didn’t care very much with sports of any kind, maybe because there is nobody in our family that are involve in sports. I think sports were not our thing. I can rather say that most of us in our family are business minded. But when I married my husband, I get excited because all the men in my husband’s family are involved in any kind of sports. And as a form of fun, they added betting on it, exclusively around family members only. At first, I found it annoying that my husband is into this activity, but then, I realized this kind of activity made all the men in his family bond together. They meet together in one house, discuss about it, laugh about it and yeah, spend some money on it. I found out, too, that they really didn’t set the bet too high. Just enough to put sparks on their activity.
.
Talking about sports bet, my husband's family check online to get hints and lead on baseball betting , football betting and/or hockey betting. I found out that sports betting are really applicable to all kinds of sports. Please forgive my ignorance, as I said, I was not really a sports-minded person when I was still in the Philippines. During the first few times that I was watching football games, I can’t help but laughed every time a player was being knocked off. It went like that for the entire 2008 season. Then, slowly, I begin to understand the play and became interested as well. Then, after that, I get interested in baseball sports, too. Baseball game is admirably entertaining.

Knowing The Bible Characters - Adam
I am sitting down here in front of my computer, thinking about what to write, then it sparks on my mind to start a new series which I want to call "Knowing The Bible Characters". I believe that every one of the Bible Characters have something for us that we should learn from their story/stories, and whatever they are, the sole purpose of their existence is for the glory of God.
.
Other than God the creator, most of us knows that the first man on earth was Adam. The account in Genesis 2 records that God first formed Adam out of "the dust of the ground" and then "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life", causing him to "become a living soul" (Genesis 2:7). God then placed Adam in the Garden of Eden, giving him the commandment that "Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die" (Genesis 2:16-17).
.
God knows the heart of Adam, and He knew something was missing. "It is not good that the man should be alone" (Genesis 2:18). He then brought every "beast of the field and every fowl of the air" (Genesis 2:19) before Adam and had Adam name all the animals. However, among all the animals, there was not found "a helper suitable for" Adam (Genesis 2:20), so God caused "a deep sleep to fall upon Adam" and took one of his ribs, and from that rib, formed a woman (Genesis 2:21-22), subsequently named Eve.
.
Adam was living in the Garden of Eden where he can communicate with God face to face. It is a perfect place what we call now a paradise. But there was a restriction. One and only restriction. God told Adam that he could eat the fruit of every tree in the garden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; and he broke it. As a consequence of his disobedience, God told Adam that he would labor hard for his food, eating bread by the sweat of his brow. And the biggest one was that God drove them away from the Garden of Eden.
.
Adam was the father of Cain and Abel, and Seth.

Stem Cells Collecting For Potential Nervours System Disorder Treatment
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of CryoCell International. All opinions are 100% mine.
Worrying about my mama’s health, I happened to come across the 'Stem Cells and Development' article of April 2010 titled "Menstrual Blood Cells Display Stem Cell–Like Phenotypic Markers and Exert Neuroprotection Following Transplantation in Experimental Stroke". The article is stating that stem cells found in menstrual blood may one day be a potential source for stem cell therapies in stroke and other central nervous system disorders. Its blood-derived cells exemplify a source of “individually tailored” donor cells that completely match the transplant recipient, at least in women. The present neurostructural and behavioral benefi ts afforded by transplanted menstrual blood-derived cells support their use as a stem cell source for cell therapy in stroke. That menstrual blood that represents a novel source of stem cells is recognized in the remarkable capacity of the lining of the uterus for regeneration after each menstrual cycle. Extraction of this rich source of stromal cells is efficient and noncontroversial. In studying the cells released from the uterine lining as part of the menstrual blood, multipotent cells capable of differentiating into chrondrogenic, adipogenic, osteogenic, neurogenic, endothelial, pulmonary epithelial, hepatic/pancreatic, and cardiogenic cell.
Cryo-Cell has been popularly known for its technology in collecting potential life-saving stem cells. They are collaborating with researchers world-wide on pre-clinical studies of C’elle for potential future therapies that may possibly treat disorders such as diabetes, breast cancer and many more. Plus, the published scientific research CĂ©lle stem cells have demonstrated potential to transform into many other cell types for future regenerative therapies. C'elle in 'Medical News Today' is being featured, too. The good news is that, C’elle is being offered at a $100 discount on the $499 retail price with a special limited time offer for collection, processing, testing and 1st year storage. Use this code CLSTR to avail of the discount.

Prayer Request - My Mama
My nephew caught me online on Facebook last night, and he took the chance to tell me that I need to call my sister in the Philippines. So, I called right away. It was not a happy conversation. My mama is sick, and wants me to come home soon to visit her. She explained to me how it happened. I was crying silently while we were talking. All that was on my mind was hoping that I don't have to go as soon as this month because it will be difficult for me financially. Although I might can get there, but I need more than just getting there; and what I have saved is not enough to make my trip at least satisfactory.
.
I was talking to my mama, too. She didn't tell me anything that will make me worry about her. She kept saying that she is fine. One thing that added to her despair was that she haven't got any letter from me since December last year, and I have been sending her 3 letters in all since between December 5th to March 28th, and not one got there. Our correspondence is the one giving her joy between us. It's her only way of pouring to me how she feels and sharing to me what had happened; at the same time, she always want to know what has been happening to me over here in USA, too. Although they have internet in the house, but she still prefer the traditional way of long-distance communication which is through correspondence.
.
This day, I sent money to my sister for them to take mama to the doctor. I was trying to figure out how I can send my letter for my mama without failing again, and in the most possible quicker way. I asked Fed-Ex and DHL, both rates were a blow to me. I don't think it is reasonable. I have another option, and we will take care of it tomorrow. I believe that she really needs to have my letter for her very soon to delight her, and will possibly make her uplifted both physically and emotionally.
.
I am calling all the Lord's prayer warriors to please pray for the recovery of my mama. God hears. God heals. God rewards. Thank you very much.

Having own domain is a privilege for bloggers like me who participated in some of paid posting networks because most of them preferred it. To get your own domain is both risky and costly. Lion Country Safari
Last Wednesday was my day off from work. Dad and Mom took advantage of it by taking me to Lion Country Safari. They have been there long time ago, and they want to go there again, with me and my husband this time. We left very early, and I was sleeping on our way going to West Palm Beach where the Lion Country Safari is located.
These are few of the pictures we took in there. It took us two hours to get there, and once we entered the gate, everybody was getting excited. It was really a very thrilling experience, entering the habitat of these wild animals. As what I have observed, I believed that everybody can be safe as long as you drive slowly and you don't provoked them. The experience was like in the movie "Jurassic Park" where you drive in the world of the dinosaurs. I was so happy and was very thankful to both Dad and Mom for taking me there. They really treat me like their baby daughter. I am so blessed to have them as my parents-in-law.

Wishlist- To Own A Home
It is a reality that we want to own a home. We don’t want to be content in renting a place for good because we don’t know what tomorrow holds, and having own the house we are living it will, at least, give ease to our minds, and all we will have to worry will be our food. That’s reality.
.
Truth to tell, many of us can’t afford to buy a house. We are one of these people. But nowadays, almost everything are made easier for us. iRentToOwn.com has a listing from various sources to bring the consumer a substantial selection of nationwide rent-to-own homes listing. Their team has devoted extensive time to building the best rent-to-own search navigation on the web and made it easier for us. Their website concepts and benefits are very easy to understand. They have provided enough photos for their listing that helps it become more realistic in our minds. If you are looking for neighborhood listing, they have included it in there, too. New houses are in the listing for the Kansas City Rent To Own Homes . Either you are searching for a rent-to-own home or just to rent an apartment, try searching using their website and take the liberty to sort your searching by amenities, price and location for your ideal home. All of these are made easier for our home searching. It is like we are talking directly to an agent.
.
If you are in disability, affordable housing options are available, too. They have home listing that are accessible, affordable housing for people with disabilities to live independently in their communities. This section of Disability.gov has information about housing rights, tax credits, making a home accessible, and supportive housing services that can help people with disabilities live independent, self-directed lives.

Life's Hardship Results Glory To God's Name
Today was a hard day’s work. Well, it has always been like this for the past 2 weeks. It looks like it is going to slow down a bit next week because the spring break is over. Truth to tell, I am really very tired every time I get home from work. I worked 6-7 hours in a day without taking a break. I only have a bottle of water and that is what sustained me for the entire day; and that is why I always make sure that I eat heavy breakfast before I got to work. I love my job. I thank God every day for giving me this job. I pray for the company that I am working in every morning. I also pray for the management, supervisors and everybody that I work with. I always pray that God may provide me energy and everything that I need to sustain the day’s work. I also ask wisdom from God to make my performance more satisfactorily. It is a tough job, but I love what I am doing. Above all, I need this job to help me come up with money for my Philippine trip which I want to do very soon.
.
This afternoon, my supervisor talked to me. She told me that my performance is good, but… I need to speed up. That kind of worries me, because in the last 2 weeks, they have been firing four workers already. Every day I worry about that, but I know in myself that I am progressing every day as well. I guess, it is not enough. I told my husband about that. I cried. I was worried that I will lost my job. I stayed in our walk-in locker for a while, then, my mom-in-law came inside to talk to me. My husband told her about my worries. She comforted me and told me that it happened to her, too. She told me not to take it seriously, that if I get fired, then, I will look for another job.
.
I believe that speaking your worries or problem out can help. I also have noticed in a lot of times that if I talk to my husband about any concerns that I have, no matter how big or small, it just settles all by itself. (God did it.) I believe that God is trying to tell me that my husband and I are one, and that whatever our concerns, worries or problems, it should be shared and talked between us, and God will do the rest.
.
I opened my devotion booklet a while ago and this is the Bible verse that my eyes had first set upon; “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus.” 2 Timothy 2:3 The Bible tells us that believers are caught in a conflict initiated by Satan’s rebellion against God. Because of this, we are challenged to “endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ”. In Paul’s day, the Roman legionnaires suffered in service for the emperor. As followers of Jesus, we may be called upon to do the same thing for the glory of God.
.
I have a big faith in God. I believe that He is the one who gave this job to me, so it is either He will help me improve in my speed or He will take me out from my job and will give me another one.
.
After writing this down, I now have a peace of mind and a smile in my face, believing that “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 I am beating Satan down, because the hardship he gave me resulted to bring glory to God’s name.

"Date Night" For Our Date Night
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 20th Century Fox. All opinions are 100% mine.
I treated Dad and Mom to a dinner yesterday in Sonny’s Pit Barbecue. They don’t want me to spend my money for dinner, but I insisted and pleaded. I wanted to please them through this opportunity to be able to treat them to a special dinner. To make the story short, I had finally convinced them and four of us ate happily.
On this weekend, I have another plan, and this one is exclusively between me and my husband. Yes, it will be a couple’s date. Of course, we have been dating a lot, but this time will be different because this will be my treat. We always wanted to eat in a Greek Restaurant. We might try that this weekend. After dinner, we might be going to the mall to see a movie, Date Night.
Date Night, it is starred by Steve Carell and Tina Fey. They are a couple of funny actor and actress. I love them both. The story is about a bored suburban couple go on their weekly dinner date and find themselves thrown into a night of intrigue: there’s breaking and entering, a car chase, a shootout and a showdown with an underworld boss at a strip club. This movie will be released on this weekend; April 9th, 2010. I included a video trailer here in my post, for you to have an idea about the story. Click to start.
Have you any plans for the weekend? A Date Night Movie is a good idea. :)

Amazing America - Babies
One big dfference in the family lifestyle here in America and in Philippines is in the way of bringing up the babies. There are some of the ways that the parents here in America brought up their babies in amazingly wonderful ways that it made me wish that it is like that in the Philippines, too, but not all of them. I believe that most Filipinos will agree with me; and here are my observations:
.
I have seen some parents that their babies are sleeping in a separate room. I am not so fond of this because in my case, I may not heard if my baby cries or making some noise that would suppose to alert me. (It is because I have a hearing problem.) I have seen a lot of scenario that the baby is set alone at the back seat (with the seatbelt). Of course, I understand that it is the law and it is for protection. It just amazed me maybe because I have never seen anything like that in the Philippines. If I were the parent, I may not want to miss a second watching my baby beside me. I have also observed that babies here in America are less irritable and seem very content being in a basket or in a stroller than most of the babies in the Philippines. My goodness! They are very impressive. They looked so disciplined.
.
Then, I realized that it is how the independence of the individual had started. That is why a lot of teen-agers want their liberty staring in a very young age, because they already have that sense of dependence since they were a baby. This is too way different compare to the lifestyle in the Philippines.

Save Energy. Save Money
Every night before we sleep, I always make sure that no home appliances are running and that our computer is completely turned off. I do the same thing when we go out, especially if we have to be away for an hour or more. We also turned down some of the extra light fixtures in our bathroom and in the living room, all these we did as our way of saving both money and energy. My husband and I were talking about this and we both believe that it really pays off to conserve energy.
.
There are thousands of ways on how we can save energy, and we need to know them and make them as a form of habit in us to our benefits. Let me share to you this one website that I know that will greatly help us in Energy saving tips, it is the Microsoft-Hohm.com. By signing up for a free account in their website, it will teach us on how we can smartly reduce our home energy usage and start saving as soon as today. They provide home energy report and energy-saving personalized tips. Through Hohm, we can actually save home energy for up to $390 per year as what they estimated and may vary significantly.
.
One of the very helpful tips that I learned from this website is to hang out the clothes after washing instead of using a dryer. Well, since it is getting warmer here now in Florida, this is a very ideal way for us to do so, too, especially because we are making use of the sun’s warm rays. Of course, I used to do this way when I was still in the Philippines, and I realized that I can do it again here in Florida.
.
Another energy saving tips that I learned is to use a ceiling fan to cool down the entire house instead of turning on the air conditioner. In this way, the temperature level stays comfortable and of course, it saves some energy, too. For more energy saving tips, visit their website and don’t forget to sign in.

Thankful Thursday - Rejoicing In His Goodness

I thank God for the job, and the strength He provide me everyday.
I thank God that my parents-in-law are here with us.
I would like to go on but afraid that the battery on my cellphone will drain off, so I will end this here.
Let us fill this day with a thankful heart toward God, for He deserve the glory and praises.

I Love "Alvin and the Chipmunks"

![]()
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Alvin and the Chipmunks. All opinions are 100% mine.
I was talking to my niece via Facebook. She proudly showed me the video of Baby Gab (her daughter) dancing and acting. She posted it on her Facebook, too. Baby Gab is such a cute smart girl and one of her favorite pastime is watching Alvin and the Chipmunk movies. She really likes the chipmunks. Hmm, it gave me the idea now on what to give her when I come home to my family in the Philippines.
Well, I love Alvin and the Chipmunks, too. Who don’t? Listening to their voice already brought joy in our heart. I don’t remember anymore how old I was when I first heard the Christmas songs with the Chipmunks, and I really, really love those songs. For me, listening to their songs is what made the Christmas merrier, but sad to say that I missed the movie “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel”. It was showing few weeks after the last Christmas day. It was the time that we were financially tight because of the season, and my husband suggested that we will just get the DVD to be able to watch it.
Guess what? “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” is now available on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download now. Wow! This made me excited. I have been waiting for this to come. I can’t wait to watch it in our home with my husband. I would definitely buy one and will keep it as much as I could so that I can pass it to my children (if God is willing) in the future. Not just that, they also have Double DVD Pack that includes “The Squeak Along” Bonus Disc, with more music, mayhem and all-new singalongs. All of them for the price of one! Isn’t that terrific?
Here’s more. For the chipmunks’ lovers, I suggest that you visit their website, MunkYourself.com and have fun “munk-ing” yourself. I am sure that you and your kids will have a blast with it. I also suggest that you visit FoxFamilyFlicks.com for More Munk Mayhem . I would like to encourage you, especially the new parents that you buy it now and add them to your collection to your kids advantage. I believe that sometimes, happiness can be bought (he-he-he).

Mustang - Merritt Island High School
The second job I had here in USA was in Merritt Island High School Cafeteria. I loved working in there and I was surrounded with friendly and very helpful workers. The environment was just so good and happy. One thing that really impressed me there is that we worked in one accord and with good harmony.
.
I was the one who prepared the fruits; canned and fresh. Counted them and list them down for the record, placed them in the cooler room. After doing the preparation for fruits, I then making ready for my station which was the Italian Corner. I served Pepperoni Pizza, Cheese Pizza, Calzone, Cheese Sticks, Ziti, Regular and Curly Fries, Garlic Bread, Egg Rolls and Nacho Chips with Marinara Sauce and Cheese Sauce. I made sure that I took temperature on each of them, and made sure that it was in the acceptable temperature before serving them. The task was such a challenge to me to move faster in giving them what they want or they will be late in their next class. I was very nervous at first, taking the pizza right from the oven, sliced them up real quick. I never thought I could do it, but I was getting used to it and I am very glad that my supervisor liked me.
.
I miss working there. But given the opportunity for a better job, and that was why I quitted there. I was just glad that everybody was happy for me that I found a better job, as well as my supervisor, too. It was such an unforgettable and wonderful experience working with them, and that is worth treasuring for the rest of my life.

"To Do List" (before Easter)
This week has been the busiest week in my workplace. It is because a lot of students from all over the country are trying to make the most out of their spring break by coming here in Florida to have a foretaste of summer. Yes, summer. It is wonderfully hot here now in Florida.
.
And since it has been a busy week in the hotel that I am working in, this keep me from doing the things that I want to do, even those things that I regularly do like cleaning and cooking. The good thing is that my parents-in-law are here, and I am so happy that they are taking my place such as cleaning our house and preparing our dinner. I know I should be ashamed because they are not suppose to work in our house because they are our guest and they are here to enjoy Florida, too, but they insisted on doing it and they loved doing it because they want to serve us because they love us so much. I love them so much, too, and I am very happy to have such wonderful parents-in-law.
.
But still, there are things that I need to do that my parents-in-law cannot do. The image shown is the list of the things that I need to do before weekend. I am the kind of person who needs to have Post-It Notes every time and everywhere, because if not, I have the tendency of forgetting those things that I need to do.
.
Talking about Post-It Notes, you can have your custom 3M post-its at 123Print.com. The design I posted here is from their website. Hop in now to their website and order your Post-It Notes customized according to your desire. They have a wide variety of designs to choose with.

Top 10 Entrecard Droppers- March '10
Yahoo! I am on time now in posting my top ten EC droppers. I have to admit though that somebody's blog reminded me on this one. If not because of that, I don't know when I will remember to post this again. I am extremely busy nowadays, especially because my parents-in-law are here with us visiting from Michigan.
.
Anyway, here is my post of expressing my sincere gratitude to all my EC droppers again, especially these top 10 Entrecard droppers of the month of March '10. I thank you on helping me be where I am now. I acknowledge and appreciate your dropping very much. I also wants to thank even to those who are not in the list. I know who you are. May all our websites/blogs be successful always.
