When we moved here in Florida, our first cable provider was BrightHouse. For some reasons, my husband decided to switch to Directv. For a while, I thought both cable provider was doing good until recently...
Our Directv bill is on my bank account, and for these past several months, it has been horribly surprising me how they charged us. If I am lucky enough, I happened to remember to ask my husband to check on how much they charged us for the current month, and if it went far too high than expected or agreed, my husband called them and complained about it, and then they would lower it down before the due date came. Happy? Yes, I am. :-) But on some months, I happened to forget to ask my husband to check how much they charge us, and when the due date came, there I was, shocked and annoyed on how much they took out from my bank account. And then, my husband called them, and then they promised to lower it down for next month, but then, the current charge was already done. It didn't stop there... because as I said, if I am lucky enough to remember to ask my husband to check how much the charge for that month will be, then they will charge us on the amount agreed... if not, another horrible surprise for me on my bank account...
What I hate was, why do they have to keep doing it, annoying us with the surprising over-charge in our bill? Why can't they keep the charge amount the same as what agreed? It is really annoying that they do that because I am very careful with my spending down to the very 1 dollar difference, and then, they would just do that to me carelessly... I hope they will consider improving their customer service. I am currently working in a customer service, too, and we do everything to make our customer happy.
There's nothing more fulfilling than doing what God wants us to do, to continue on finding out on what else you can do in life in service to others, and to use your gifts.

My Mom In Her Prime Age (Maybe?)
My husband and I were watching "Heaven is for real" the other day. It made me think about what my mother would look like when I see her in heaven.
To those who didn't know: My mother went to be with our Creator last April 19th of this year. She trip over something on the floor, broke her hip. Being diabetic and of her fragile age which was 83, the doctors did not suggest surgery. She was bedridden, and there came the kidney problem... the pneumonia... heart weakened... and exactly a month after her fall, our mother left her earthly body. (I miss her so much.)
I am confident though, that I will soon see my mother again when my time here on earth will be due. Of course, nobody knows when will be that, but I am surely excited to see her up there in heaven and all the splendor there are in it with our Creator. I can almost imagine that there will be endless chatting between us with laughter and love. No more tears of pain and sorrow in heaven, probably only tears of joy.
So, how old my mother will look like when I see her in heaven? With my very limited source that I have here with me, this is the only picture I can find where I can say this was on her prime age. So, I think this is what she will look like then... maybe?
We need to realize that when God created Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, they were in their prime of life. Another fact, Jesus died and was resurrected at the prime of his physical life. Therefore, it is justified to believe that whatever age we will die, it is certain that we will be resurrected physically in our prime age, complete and gloriously perfect. Our entire being will be remade flawless as God originally intended to give to His children when we get to heaven.

Happy 1st Anniversary Redemption Bible Fellowship
One year ago, the Redemption Bible Fellowship was born. Lead by Pastor Bill Shonemann with Brother Jim Bryant as his assistant, together with us, which we call ourselves fellow workers, we started dramatically. Our first few services was in the park, we moved to a small place where we cozily and warmly gathered together regularly... and then now, God has blessed RBF once again, we are now in a bigger building, getting ourselves ready for more visitors to come spend the Sundays with us.
We celebrated our anniversary yesterday. The sermon was great and anointed. We were truly blessed. Lunch was served after the service and the food was abundant. We had few visitors.
(Thanks to all that brought foods.)
Happy first anniversary, Redemption Bible Fellowship.

He Will Carry You by SCOTT WESLEY BROWN
This song just pop up on my mind out of nowhere a couple of days ago. I don't remember anymore when was the last time I heard this song played somewhere, not even on my head. I love this song, "He Will Carry You" by Scott Wesley Brown. Although he is not Filipino, but I believe that every Filipino on my generation (at least) knows this song, either from school or from the local church that they attended. I know this song from both during my elementary years.
Its lyric touched me personally probably because of the mountain that we are facing right now. Well, I know we always have mountains in our daily walk. It is part of our lives. Sometimes the mountain is so short that it doesn't bother us at all... sometimes the mountain is so tall that it caught us in fear that we might not be able to climb it... sometimes the mountain is followed right away with another mountain and followed right away with another mountain and so on, and that's depressing.
The song says, He (God) will carry YOU (us). Of course, I know it... but why is it I seem to carry my cares of this world on my shoulder rather than having God carry it for me, when in the first place that is what God wants us to do anyway? What do I get from carrying my cares on myself? Nothing. It has only exhausted me, and then leads to unproductive living. I think it is just out of my old habit that I did that. Now, I will need to break that bad habit and start walking lightly.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 NIV

WRITING (Blogging), My First Love
A blessed Sunday to all!I am so thankful that I got this day off from work, and thus I was able to join the church fellowship this morning. We move to a new building two Sundays ago, but since I was working on those both previous Sundays, officially, for me today is my first Sunday service on our new church building. I love it. We are so thankful to God for this huge blessing. And on next Sunday, will be our first year anniversary of the Redemption Bible Fellowship. God has been so wonderful to us from the very day that this congregation was born, that we started our fellowship at the park, then we had our little place for almost a year, and now, a bigger place. Glory to God!
Our preacher was talking about how we can reach out to the people, and the many forms and ways of doing it. It then reminded me how I had abandoned my blogging, which I consider as working for God, too. I used to blog almost everyday, telling my readers how my day was going and what it had to do with our spiritual walk with God. I was glorifying God's name in my own little way. And today, back in the fellowship earlier, I said to myself, "I can still do that". So, here I am. :-)
Writing (Blogging) was my first love, and still is, in terms of vocation. I remember how excited I get every morning to get on my desktop and start sharing to the world what was on my mind. It was even more exciting when somebody left comments on my post. I can still remember the thrill of knowing that somebody from the other part of the world was reading my post that I wrote right in the bedroom of our house in the small town of Kingston, Michigan.
Few months before I moved here in the USA, God revealed to me that I will be writing here. Although I didn't understand how because I never had any writing training or anything like that, but I know I would love it. I came here, three months after, a cyber friend introduced me to the world of blogging. I even made a lot of money out of it, but that was only the "icing of the cake", telling about God's amazing grace was the cake.
If I have to describe how my mind is running on normal days, I would say it is like a busy traffic on a highway. Ideas. Plans. Memories. Tasks. Revelations. They are all running on the pavement of my head at the same time, and if I am not quick enough to write them down on my memo pad, chances are, I will not be able to remember them again.
I know I have done this a lot of times, and I will do this again... I hope to be blogging more often from this day on. Working full-time at WalMart and doing house chores are two very overwhelming tasks for me, plus hobbies, family time and friendship time... I already find myself doubting now, but with the mission in mind, and of God's help, I believe I can accomplish this.
"Be very careful, then, how you live-- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity..." Ephesians 5:15-16 NIV
