Decision Making

Taken from my Spiritual Walk Journal
February 6, 2007

“… and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hands.”
Isaiah 53:10 b

How I always wish that I know the “will of God”, so that decision-making will never anymore be a problem to me. I am willing to pass through a tunnel of trials if only I know that I am on the right track.

The very thing that I am scared of is that after some seemingly unending struggles and hardships I will find out that I was wrong in my decision. Though the good thing is that God is the God of the second chances. Yes, God is willing to give us second chance if we confess, repent, and rise up to walk again.

There had been much wrong decision that I made in my life. However, God never left me alone. He is always there giving the lesson in life, showing the right way that I neglected so often.

UNPRAYERFULNESS is the fog that causes our spiritual eyes so not to see clearly, what is ahead… what is the will of God.

Hi Grace,

Thanks for inviting me to join your blog. I have enjoyed sharing your writing(s), messages and the pictures. One comment that I'd like to add to your 'decision making' writing is that sometimes even though we have prayed and asked God for guidance, we have to step out in Faith - knowing that he is there to lift us up when we falter. Also, we continuously make decisions - hopefully they are directed toward the right path, with each decision - we make the best choice that we know at that time, tomorrow - we may know something new or different - and we may choose a different decision. It doesn't mean the first one was wrong, only that we've learned lessons from experience or God's word - when it comes to the next decision. Sometimes it's hard to thank God for the tough or sad times - but we do a lot of learning and growing there. Thank you for being 'you' - you're a blessing. Love ya, your new cousin - Charleen

Unprayerfulness is indeed a fog in the life of believers. Great post and you've given me something to think about tonight.
