Live It!

When I was in my elementary and high school years, the first assignment that was always given to us after the 2 weeks vacation was to write about "My New Year's Resolution." I used to have a long list of "do's" and "don't's". And as usual, before the first month ended, I would always found out that I break almost everything on it. And... on the following new year, doing the same thing all over again.

Most people say "New Year's Resolution" is foolishness. I believe there was nothing wrong in doing "My New Year's Resolution." It is a sign that you are aware of the things that you needed to do, and for the things that you need to stop doing. And it is good thing because those people that don't acknowledge what they need are the ones that are hopeless. But what we lack is the motivation to live it. To help live for it, make a healthy habit of renewing the resolution every first day of the month. And above all, let us acknowledge that we need God to help us fulfill the resolutions and have faith that you can.

"I can do all things through Him (Christ) who strengthens me." Philppians 4:13 NASB

I am wondering about quitting smoking myself. But just wondering, because smoking gives me such pleasure. Do "wondering about" count as a new year's promise?

I wish you all the best for the year 2009. May the good Lord see to it you further grow and prosper in the love of our Saviour and that you gain a lot of inspiration and motivation in the coming year.
