Singing Songs of Worship

Charles Spurgeon has said, "Silent worship is sweet, but vocal worship is sweeter." I am both. It may depend on the situation, but I love the most singing worship to God out loud. I spend at least one day in a month singing worship songs to God in the guest room all by myself for the whole day. Certainly, scriptures affirms the importance of meditation, but it also urges us to sing out in praise to God.
.
In the old testament, singing worship songs was the most effective weapon for them to attack their enemies. It is so amazing how their enemie's foothold just collapsed as their enemies started fighting with each other. Offering of worhip songs to God made the Israelites always victorious. As Martin Luther said, "Come, let us sing a psalm and drive away the devil." There is power in the song of thanksgiving that made our lives victorious and an overcomer through any problems in life we may have. I really believe in that personally. So, every time I feel gloomy, singing worship song is the only way to brighten up my day. Sing it out!
.
"It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night..." Psalm 92:1 & 2 NIV
