Past, Present & Future

PAST- We all have a past. Some may have good ones while some were bad. I had both good and bad past, but the past should not be a place where we live, but something from which we learn. We are to forget "those things which are behind" and reach "forward to those things which are ahead," and we're to "press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13,14) Our past does not only affects us, it affects our children, too. More is passed down to them and to their children than what we passed down genetically. We need to free ourselves from the damaging past and as long as we dwell in the past, we only not lose some of what God has for our future, but for the future of our children as well.
.
PRESENT- Although we made a good living in the present, but it does not guarantee to stay like that for the rest of our lives. We must learn how to use wisely the resources we have. We must learn to share the good things that we receive from God. If you don't know what is the work God gave you in service for Him, you must daily seek for it. "Each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that." (1 Corinthians 7:7)
.
FUTURE- God doesn't want us to know the future because He wants us to know Him. He wants us to trust Him to guide us into the future one step at a time. In order to understand God's leading, we must seek Him for every step. "Those who seek the Lord understand all." (Proverbs 28:5) We must also stay close enough to hear His answer. The Lord is the giver of vision. With God our future is secure.

Oh, it's so hard sometimes to remember that we must not focus on the future, but on the now. Thanks for such a great post!
