Food Trip Friday #9 - Green Beans with Bacon

I am joining Mommy Willa on this "Food Trip Friday" meme for a reason that I want to challenge myself to try something new food at least once a week in order for me to learn to cook.
.
My entry for today's Food Trip Friday is Green Beans with Bacon. I had decided to try this recipe this day for our dinner, because my dad-in-law had harvested a whole bunch of green beans from our garden this afternoon. I had never tried this recipe before and I was a bit insecure while I was cooking it, but I am so glad that it turned out right and good. Here are the ingredients and the direction:
*thinly slice green beans
*bacon; cut in square
*onions
*garlic
*bell pepper; cut in cubes (I missed this because we don't have any.)
*salt
*water
DIRECTION:
*Saute onions and garlic.
*Add the cooked bacon.
*Add the bell pepper.
*Add the thinly slice green beans.
*Add water, enough to level the green beans.
*Bring to boil (medium) until almost dry.
*Taste and serve.
.
Happy Food Trip Friday to every one!

Hi Grace!

thanks for inquiring about my sleep mask :)
The price for this sleep mask is Euro 8,-
It comes with its own drawstring pouch for storage.
You can look at it here:

To the United States I send everything via registered mail (otherwise it gets lost). That costs Euro 8,-
Let me know what you think...

this is a common dish here in the south... not my fave though...

if you got a lot of fresh beans, you can always blanch it and then freeze for future use...

Good thing with you have lots of vegetables on your very own garden coz you can eat them fresh!!Mommy Lulu is right, you can use them for future use if you blanch and freeze them. You can also serve them as salad with mayo.^_^

Happy FTF,Grace!!^_^
