Growth Essentials

How well do we know the Holy Bible? Let me give you a self-test. Which of the following quotes can be find in the Holy Bible?
1. Honesty is the best policy.
2. Money is the root of all evil.
3. Confession is good for the soul.
4. Cleanliness is next to godliness.
5. Man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward.
6. God helps those who help themselves.
What is your answer? Those who knows the Holy Bible well can tell that among these six (6) sentences, only the #5 can be find in the Holy Bible, and it can be find in Job 5:7. That is to say that all the rest were just quoted from "somebody". One of the things that I love about church youth camping was the bible trivia. I enjoyed it very much.
George Muller had read his bible more than 100 times and his inspirational message to every one was, "I have always made it a rule never to begin work until I have had a good season with God and His Word. The blessings I have received has been wonderful."
Although I have read my entire bible once, but I know it is not enough. Yes, I read my bible every night and day, but random reading is totally different from reading through page by page... beginning to end. Let us consider reading it through- not so that we can answer some trick questions about the bible, but because it was given to us by God and is essential for our growth.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God." 2 Timothy 3:16
