Some of you may have remember that I had a positive TB skin test a couple of months ago. On the day that I was supposed to show my arm it started to swell, I was not worried because of course, I know in my body that I don't have it. But after showing it to the nurse and she declared that it was positive, I started crying. I cried because I was upset. I was upset because I didn't understand how I got it. Had it happened when I am here? Did somebody gave it to me. Way back in the Philippines, before I was issued a Visa, I had undergone a very strict medical examination and obviously, I had no problem because my record say so. Although the nurse told me that my case may only be exposure to TB from the past, but still I was so sad. And they still have to give me 9 months treatment and that was how I started to get sick because of the reactions. Just a few days ago, another Filipina friend had her TB skin test and was very worried because the spot started to swell, too. She asked around if she would be deported and some other "worri-some" questions. Another Filipina friend explained this things to her, and this is what she said: It is normal for Filipinos to be positive in the TB skin test because of the BCG vaccine that we have while we were toddlers. It doesn't mean we can't file for AOS and above all, it doesn't mean we will be deported back to the Philippines. And that's it. She was relieved. How I wish we were properly informed about this during our medical examination in the Philippines, it would have save us from being so upset and worried.

Oh Grace, that would have scared me too. So did the doctors understand about what you were given as a child?

how are you sister, sorry medyo nawala din ako sa sirkulasyon. busy kasi sa paghahanap ng trabaho. Alam mo buti na lang nung nag AOS ako d na ako nag medical kasi mabait yung doctor na napuntahan ko. nag base na lang sya dun sa result ko sa St. Lukes at pinirmahan na lang nya yung aking papers... But dont worry sis.. malalampasan mo din lahat yan. god bless you
I undergo Skin test yesterday, but the reaction is just starting today... Natatakot din ako kasi last 2011 I had pneumonia pero nag gamot ako ng 3 months.
I had my skin test yesterday and it’s look the same.And I know to my self that I don’t have a TB when I was in Philippines.And makes me worried because tomorrow I will send back the result to the nursing home where I applied.Wish tomorrow the red will gone.
I had my skin test yesterday and desame reaction in yoursðŸ˜im very sad now.. Maybe my employer not understand this and she deport meðŸ˜ðŸ˜
My Boss had this TB and I want to make sure that I am not infected
I went to the hospital to have my self check for TB and then I was ask to do the skin test
after 2days my skin is swelling i will be back on 12 Oct 2019 I don't know what will I feel beco'z I am living with my daughter & husband overseas.
I will just put everything in Jesus hands and let him handle this Co'z in this kind of situation that u cannot control thing's so I will just let go and let God
