On our trip going down to Florida, we had breakfast at Shoney's in Tennessee. Since I was not so sure what I want, Charleen introduced to me the "Grits". She politely asked the waiter for a very small amount of grits for me to taste. After tasting it, I had decided that I liked it and so we ordered that for my breakfast along with the runny sunny side up egg and bacon. I fell in love with it. Since then, every time we eat out for breakfast, I ordered grits with the runny sunny side up egg and bacon.
.
Few days after we were back home from our vacation, I made my own grits (Aunt Sallie-Jean gave me a bag of it) for breakfast. I had a wonderful breakfast then. After reading its label, I found out that grits are made of corn. Hmm, now I understand why I love grits because I love corn, too. I wonder why I have not discoverd this while I was still in the Philippines. Thank you, Charleen, for introducing this grits to me.
