This is the center part of our wedding cake that was set aside to keep in the freezer for a year. Following the pattern of my husband's tradition, we keep center layer of the cake and frozen for the bride and groom to eat on our first anniversary.

That was something I had never heard before. Maybe because in the Philippines, not everybody have a freezer. I found out that many couples here in USA do this, too.
.
So, during our 1st wedding anniversary dinner, (which was two weeks ago) we took out this cake from the freezer and had some of it after our romantic dinner. How was the taste? It was not spoil, but not as good as new. We only tried small bites, and decided to throw the rest.

The Wedding Cake was a gift from my mom-in-law Sallie. It was a chocolate flavor cake. My favorite.Thank you again, Mom.

Happy Anniversary. Thank you for you kind words regarding my art. One day I must become a saleswoman to help our income . I am not thrilled to do that. I just love to give it. Selling is so overwhelming to me.
Happy belated Anniversary. I agree on the taste. When I did this with mine (years ago) we didn't eat much of it before the rest went in the trash. :)
Nice cake.
