I hate talking about death, but there are times that it just come up in the middle of our conversation inevitably. One time, my husband told me that when he die, he want to be cremate because it is the cheapest option here in US and he want his ashes to be devide among those who want it. .
I brushed the topic away , but my husband suggested that it would be better that we talked about that in advance so that there will be no more confusion or problem when the time comes.
.
I don't like the thought of being cremate, (it made me think that I will have no more body then) but I came to realized that it is better than be buried six feet under and be left there forever, whereas if cremated, you can place the ash jar in the house and be with them.
.
My husband reminded me that being dead, we will not care anymore what will happen to our body. Oh, yeah. How did I forgot that being dead to body is being alive in heaven? Who cares what will happen to my body if I got a new and glorified body then? Oh, what a glorious day that will be! This reminds me of the favorite verse of my aunt in the Philippines that had passed away four years ago: "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." (Philippians 1:21 NIV)
.
But what about you? Practically speaking, which one do you prefer? Be buried six feet under or be cremated?
