My First Piece Of Bread

Madam Panal, our teacher in Home Economics in 5th grade, according to most students was "weird". She don't only taught us about Home Economics, but she also gave us assignments to memorize some bible verses. Many fretted about it. "She is not our religion teacher", they complained. She was a Seventh Day Adventist.

But most likely, I enjoyed her class. I love learning about Home economics and I love memorization, too. I can't forget the very first memory verse that she gave to us to memorize,
it was in Matthew 4:4 "Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." From then on, it glued on my mind. It is like a mole on my skin.

I never had any idea that it would be my life in the future. A couple of years later, my mother and I came to know Jesus as our Savior and Lord. I started reading about the Holy Bible. I learned that the "word" that is in the Holy Bible
is the "word" of God. And Jesus said in John 6:35 "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry..."

What a great way for your teacher to teach you a little extra while you learned to cook. Sometimes the smallest things can lead us to the greatest!
