The Lord's Day

*********************************************************************************************
In the Old Testament time, Saturday was the Sabbath Day. It was the day that people assembled together to worship God. It was the day that everybody should refrain from working. Because, it was the day that God took a rest from a six day of creating the world.

In the New Testmanet, the Sunday of Jesus' resurrection was called "The Lord's Day". Since then, Sunday has become the day that Jesus' believers assemble together to learn of God's word and to worship Him. Sunday has become the rest day. And to some, Sunday has become the family day.

This is the "Living Word Worship Center" in Cass City, Michigan. Pastor Keith Misany is the resident minister in this fellowship. His wife's name is Sister Vicki. My husband and I have been joining this congregation for five months now. It is Pastor Keith's birthday today, and the congregation gave him a surprise, we had lunch fellowship right after the service.
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another," 1 John 1:7 NIV

Hi Grace,

What a beautiful post. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, but then I got a bad bug and have been sick the last few days. Even had to miss church, which I certainly hated to do. Thank you for visiting. I will follow your blog, as it is so inspirational.

Hugs and blessings,

Renie

The name of your church reminded me of our former church before. We used to attend the Living Word Baptist Church in Alvarado before we moved here in Wichita Falls. Now, we go to Victory Baptist Church here in our city. It's good to go and worship the Lord on Sundays. He created us to worship, praise, serve and love him.
