Our Father Knows Best

I have a friend who is struggling very much of a present trials and temptations. She would ask God to make her heart like a stone so to avoid the pain. As gently as I can, I keep telling her I doubt that it will happen. More likely, she needs to change her heart by relying on discipline and constant pleas of dependence.

For some reasons that we don' know, God has let us experience hardship. God seems to value our character more than our comfort, often taking us off our comfort zone, using this as a tool in molding us into a character that He wants us to be. Our heavenly Father knows best.

Personally, every time the hardships comes, I pray to God to reveal to me the lesson out of it. I have to. I don't want to go through the same problem again and again just because I hadn't learned what I need to learn. It would be wasting time and emotions. I hate that. And I am confident, that once I learn the lesson of the hardship, and deal with it, the hardship will then go away. It would be no use to take the same test that you have positively passed already.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." Jeremiah 29:11-12 NIV

Hi Grace!

I am so glad you stopped by my blog and I believe it wasn't by mistake but for a good reason.

I was reading your entry regarding your friend...my blog is full of trials and battles that we have faced but more so the victories that we have won through Jesus Christ. If you start at the beginning of my blog back in February and read up to date...you will see all the battles that we have had to fight but we have won them all. There is only one left at this moment to win and that is my son returning to the Lord and I believe that is coming too.

Stop by anytime...you are always welcome. I'll be checking back in on you as well.

Have blessed week.

We don't know why we have hardships and trials.I heard a pastor say one time we face battles sometimes to make us stronger.I know we do have a wonderful God who knows all our burdens and all we have to do is turn them over to him and he will carry us though. One of my favorite bible verses is:
I can do all things though Christ which strengtheneth me.Philippians4:13.
I hope everything works out for your friend.Your friend will be in my prayers.God Bless.

When I'm faced with difficulties, I turn to medicines to turn my life around. ;) They work all the time for me...

My Christian friend had been trying to persuade me to consider attending their bible classes but I'm afraid I'm just not ready to commit myself yet.
