I Miss My Filipino Foods Very Much!

For those who are like myself, that have moved here for good from the Philippines, one of the things that is really difficult for us to overcome is the craving of our own Filipino foods. Lately, I lost my appetite in eating. I really miss my kind of food. Although I can still make some of those here, but it is still different. Although my stomach accepted and liked all the foods here in Michigan, but of course, I am still craving for those foods that I have been eating for thirty years. This is one of the reason that strengthen my decision to plan for my visit to the Philippines on this coming summer. I hope and pray that God will allow me to do so.
.
Here are some of the foods that I really miss so much. I know some of these looks like exotic, but believe me, they are really very special to us, especially if it has been awhile to be away with these kind of foods.

hey grace, the only thing I couldn't have here is the kinilaw! I would really love to have any kind of kinilaw. Tinolang manok, tuyo and kamatis, and sinigang is always easy to make here. Hmmm you gave me an idea for my kitchen blog...
