Follow The Good Shepherd

A couple of days ago, while we were heeding to Wal-Mart, I saw a flock of sheep from a distance. I wanted to stop by and run towards them. I wanted to be closer to them. They reminded me of how the Holy Bible describe them. One of my favorite bible verse says, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me." John 10:27 The bible often refers to human beings as sheep. It describes that we are easily destructed and susceptible to group influence that we would rather follow the crowd than the wisdom of the Shepherd. The sheep can literally jumped off the cliff if those who are behind them did so, too.
.
The best thing to avoid being stray is to know whom are you following. Are you following a proud fellow-sheep, self-centered leaders or the voice and direction of the Good Shepherd?
.
It is such a challenge to avoid the mistake of the sheep who blindly followed one another over a cliff. We must make it a daily habit to ask ourselves; "Am I listening to the voice of the Good Shepherd?" "Am I following Him?" Let us follow Jesus Christ, not the crowd.

Awesome, awesome post Grace! What a great way to put it in words that everyone can understand. I definitely want to be a follower of our great Sheppard and not the flock. Have a blessed weeked!
