Have you experience moving from bigger house to a smaller house? Furniture and other possessions are sacrificed because there is no enough room for them. Times like you have to get rid yourself of unnecessary things that bound you to the past. Some would call it a "downsizing"..
Downsizing is about pinching, restricting and cutting back while keeping yesterday's dream alive; diversting is about freedom, expansion and dreaming new dreams.

But Christian life is something different. We are callled to drop what we have, find life and freedom in Jesus. Jesus once said to the rich young man, whose possessions has gripped him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow me." (Mark 10:21-22 a)

It made me think: "If anything I own keeps me from obeying Jesus whole-heartedly, am I ready to open my hand, release it, and freely follow Him?" Let us know that a faith that costs nothing and demands nothing is worth nothing.

I have had the experience of moving from a large place into a much smaller place and having to give away a great deal of furniture so that we could fit the rest in. Your take tying that in with spiritualism is touching.
great post. at first read, i thought it was all just about transfering from one house to another but it ended up as something that we can reflect on! amazing! amazing learning.
