Last Autumn, we had a whole bunch of tomatoes that after we made salsa and tomato sauce and juices, my dad-in-law decided to sell some of them. We put them on the table by the road way with the signage "Tomatoes For Sale" that I made..
I thought if somebody would buy, we will have to run to the table to assist the customer, but I was wrong. What happened was, customers just picked the tomatoes and put the money in the box that was provided. That's it. At the end of the day, it is amazing to know how much we sell and much more amazing that they don't took away the tomatoes without leaving a money.

I am sorry to say, but this will not work in the Philippines. (I apologize for making my country sound bad.) Anyway, I believe that not everybody here in America are honest though. Sure enough, there are bad people here in USA, especially in the big city. I asked my dad-in-law, "What if they took the tomatoes and doesn't put money in the box?" He answered, "Well, if he wants the tomatoes and can't pay for it, he can have it." Well, I should say, "Amazing Dad", too.

I love Tomatoes! I miss the huge juicy tomatoes there in the U.S. You're right, that selling strategy would not work here in the Philippines. People would just grab the goodies and run. hehehehe
Tomatos are so yummy.
