Food Trip Friday #11 - Sili Sauce


I am joining Mommy Willa on this "Food Trip Friday" meme for a reason that I want to challenge myself to try something new food at least once a week in order for me to learn to cook.

It has been a while that I had not the chance to cook something new because we have been extremely busy lately. Our dinner tonight was pork barbecue and my husband asked me to make some sili sauce. "Sili" is the small red pepper that is shown in the picture. They are very hot and they are from our garden. It is expected that more peppers are coming in the next couple of weeks. He likes sili sauce very much, especially on pork barbecue and pork adobo.

Here are the stuff I use to make a good sili sauce:
*Datu Puti vinegar
*Silver Swan soy sauce
*Medium chopped onions
*3-4 pieces of sili
*some drops of lime juice

We have Chinese Chilly Sauce, which is very hot and very popular with Chinese food. If you lisp, you call it silly sauce!
