It is Thankful Thursday once again and as children of God, it is our privilege to be able to share His goodness in our lives through thanksgiving. One of the form of thanksgiving God require from us (His creation) is to offer Him songs of worship to glorify His holy name..
"I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving." Psalm 69:30 NIV

.....*I thank God for the voice He gave to me that enables me to worship Him with songs.
.....*I thank God for the education that enables me to read and sing songs to my God.
.....*I thank God for the song in my heart that made my soul well.
.....*I thank God for writers and composers of the songs that we are singing both in our church and in our home from generations to generations.
.....*I thank God for the musicians that gives melody to the words of praise and worship.
.....*I thank God for the "Praise & Worship" song leader, professional singers, children's Sunday school teachers, music instruments players and even the projector operator that offers their voices, talents, time and skills to sing to God and for leading us to sing, too.
.....*I thank God for the radio stations that plays "Praise & Worship" songs.
.....*I thank God for song books, magazines, CD's, etc. that made it easier for us to learn new songs.
.....*I thank God for the TV stations that plays "Praise & Worship" songs.
.....*I thank God for the freedom to sing for our Creator, the God of the universe.
Singing is one of the highest the form of worship and is one of His creation's sole duty. Human, angels and birds give praise to Him by singing for His glorious majesty forever. Let us offer to God songs of worship for as long as we live.

We are to give God thanks every day but I do like you calling today, Thankful Thursday. I call it Terrific Thursday as well because I am once again blessed with another day to praise my God and His Son. Being thankful is definitely something we need to be everyday but making Thursday a day of thanks will do just fine too. Have a blessed day!

Occasionally at dinner time our family will sing "Hallelujah" together before my husband prays. I love hearing the voices of our children chiming in to praise God!
What a wonderful list! I, too, enjoy singing. I don't sing as well as my youngest son (there's a video of him singing on a recent post), but I love to lift my voice in praise to God. :-)

Amen! Sometimes I think of Earthly singing and instrumental worship as practice for heaven!
