Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It's October again and pink is in the air -- most of us know that this pink ribbon represents "Breast Cancer Awareness" and October is the "National Breast Cancer Awareness Month". It is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
.
As well as providing a platform for breast cancer charities to raise awareness of their work and of the disease, BCAM (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) is also a prime opportunity to remind women to be breast aware for earlier detection. There are ways on how to do the "self-checking". If you do not know how, I suggest that you visit your local health center for information. Let us take good care of ourselves.
