I've miraculously fed the poor, healed the sick and raised the dead!

MIBYP #5 - Let's Take A Stand (by Omaha's Helping Hand)

I found this post from the blog of Tammy of Omaha's Helping Hand. After reading this post, I felt the need of spreading this post all around for the information of all people, especially US residents. And of course, I asked permission from Tammy to post this here before I did. (Thank you very much, Tammy, for allowing me to post this here.)

We must take a stand against this kind of action and stop it!!!We are looking at the possible removal of Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer,Charles Stanley, David Jeremiah and other pastors from the airwaves.An organization has been granted a Federal Hearing on the same subject by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington , D.C. Their petition, Number 2493, would ultimately pave the way to stop the reading of the gospel of our Lord and Savior, on the airwaves of America. They got 287,000 signatures to back their stand.

If this attempt is successful, all Sunday worship services being broadcast on the radio or by television will be stopped. This group is also campaigning to remove all Christmas programs and Christmas carols from public schools! You as a Christian can help.We are praying for at least 1 million signatures. This would defeat their effort and show that there are many Christians alive, well and concerned about our country. As Christians, we must unite on this.Please don't take this lightly. We ignored one lady once and lost prayer in our schools and in offices across the nation. Please stand up for your religious freedom and let your voice be heard. Together we can make a difference in our country while creating an opportunity for the lost to know the Lord.Dr. Dobson is going on CNBC to urge every Christian to get involved.

Maggie is a precious 9 year old, straight A student who loves to read, swim and play. She is a magnificent and amazing little girl. On May 21,2009 she was diagnosed with a DIPG brain tumor. She is a fighter and will be battling this awful disease. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!!!

Washing Clothes Recipe
Never thought of a "washer" in this light before... what a blessing!
"Washing Clothes Recipe" -- imagine having a recipe for this ! ! ! Years ago an Alabama grandmother gave the new bride the following recipe:
(This is an exact copy as written and found in an old scrapbook - with spelling errors and all.)
WASHING CLOTHES:
Build fire in backyard to heat kettle of rain water. Set tubs so smoke wont blow in eyes if wind is pert.
Shave one hole cake of lie soap in boilin water.
Sort things, make 3 piles1 pile white,1 pile colored,1 pile work britches and rags.

To make starch, stir flour in cool water to smooth, then thin down with boiling water.
Take white things, rub dirty spots on board, scrub hard, and boil,
...then rub colored don't boil just wrench and starch.
Take things out of kettle with broom stick handle, then wrench, and starch.
Hang old rags on fence.
Spread tea towels on grass.
Pore wrench water in flower bed.
Scrub porch with hot soapy water.
Turn tubs upside down.
Go put on clean dress, smooth hair with hair combs.
Brew cup of tea, sit and rock a spell and count your blessings.... click here to continue reading.
