Be Safe On The Road With HID Light

Dad and Mom had avoided the strike of the snow blast on the road by riding down here in Florida a couple of days earlier than what they had planned. However, they still had a very tough trip because of the black ice that were almost everywhere from Michigan all the way down to Georgia. They have seen several cars that swiveled around due to black ice, but with thorough preparation, careful hands, keen eyes, and of course, with God’s grace, they were able to get through safe and sound.

Part of the preparation on taking a long distance driving aside from being wide-awake is to make sure that you have with you in your car these stuff; first aid kit, emergency road kit, blanket, food, water and a great flashlight. These are necessary especially if expecting a storm on the way. I know it is better to stay away from the road during times like this, but on some given circumstances, they leave us no option but to take risk. The image enclose is a rechargeable hand-held light by www.magnalight.com . It has a high intensity discharge light with a 35 watt lamp producing 3200 lumens (approximately 15 million candlepower in retail setting). When it comes to brightness and distance of over 3,000 feet, this is definitely a winner.

The next time you have to take long distance driving during a bad weather, be sure to remember all the things that I mentioned above.

Thanksgiving Weekend At Myrtle Beach

My husband’s relative (the ones that I haven’t met yet) will be with us in a few days from now. They are from north and they will be spending the Thanksgiving weekend with us. We will be having a big Thanksgiving Dinner at the basketball court. It will surely be another wonderful dinner for all of us. We did this same thing last year, too. My problem is that I have to work on Thanksgiving Day. I wish I don’t have to, so that I can spend more time with them and can help with the preparation, too. On their way back home, they will be staying in South Carolina for a weekend escapade. They want to take advantage of the last days of the warm days before they will go back to the north.

I am jealous. I have always wished to spend a weekend in South Carolina, specifically in Myrtle Beach. The beaches there are fantastic. If you have been there, too, I believe you would agree with me on this. Everything about Myrtle Beach will take your breath away, from the lazy river to the contemporary architecture. It is their goal to build this resort into a place where the beach and the warm weather will wipe away your stress and make you feel relaxed. It is just such a perfect place for family fun, getaways, weddings, convention… or just to be by yourself. It is no wonder why over 13 million visit there annually.

Though this place is very popular, it is not hard to make a reservation through http://avistaresort.com . Enjoy the exquisite sunrises and sunsets, beautiful ocean and the warm sand in Myrtle Beach Hotel . Comfort and luxury is the aim they give to their valued guests of resorts in Myrtle Beach . They have a charming selection of “Specials” to make your stay the best beach vacation that you dream of. Talk to their agents and they will show you a wide array of views and condo floor plan for you to select. Start your planning now.

Travel Shows Recorded with DVR

I appreciate the guest post, Jewel Rodgers
.
At this time, I do not have the luxury of spending thousands of dollars on a vacation to exotic locations such as Vanuatu or the Seychelles. But I do enjoy learning about these various places and more by watching travel shows. I use my DVR service on my satellite tv from www.expertsatellite.com to stay up-to-date on the latest shows featuring people from Africa , South America, and even Europe!
.
As I have a job that keeps me working until about 8 p.m. each night, I tend to miss new episodes and season premieres. By using my DVR, I can record my favorite programming with ease, allowing myself to watch the shows when I have the time. To make it even better, I can watch my shows over and over, plus rewind, fast forward, and pause whenever I need to. I like that I have control over my recordings, as it allows me the convenience to watch shows as necessary.
.
My current DVR list includes new episodes of No Reservations and Bizzare Foods, which though cooking-oriented, also highlight the culture the produces the odd sorts of food Americans typically don't eat, such as insects or the tails of oxes. I plan on using my DVR in the future to record the Amazing Race and Samantha Brown.

Spending Fall At Branson

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Geile Leon. All opinions are 100% mine.

Fall is here. Those who have business that only operates on late spring and the entire season of summer, they always do their vacation on late fall. I know some. My Filipino friend in Michigan, for instance, their business is bicycle and bicycle parts. It is always busy on late spring through early fall, because it is the time of the year that people uses their bicycles. That is why during late fall, they always travel around America for a long-week break. They take it as a chance to have a vacation and just enjoy their time together.

I know that last year they were in the west part of the country. That was what she told me, and they had a great time. This year, their target will be on the Midwest part of America. She mentioned to me that Missouri would be one of them. I love Missouri. I heard a lot of good things about them. We made plans, but it was always canceled and ends up somewhere else because of some circumstances that can’t be avoided. My husband told me about how awesome this state is with all the popular attractions that he believes I would like to see, specifically around Branson. It is known as the entertainment capital of the Midwest. I heard about their famous Hollywood Wax Museum. He wants to take me to ’57 Heaven Car Museum, too, as cars are his passion ever since he was a kid.

Talking about Branson, Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel offers exclusive Fall in The City Package with the rate starting at $309.50 per night. This offer will not only avail you to two-night accommodations, but you’ll also receive two tickets on the Showboat Branson Belle for dinner with the show, two adult tickets to Silver Dollar City with a 50th Anniversary Silver Dollar City Souvenir Book and a $25 hotel food and beverage credit.

Another offer is the Shopping Package, starting with just $164 per night. It includes deluxe accommodations, a breakfast buffet for two and a $25 gift card which may be used at any store in the Tanger Outlet Mall which is just close by. This is really an awesome offer. Plus, their location is within the area where almost everything are accessible such as to shops, boutiques, restaurants, a river walk, golf courses, museums, theaters, theme parks and other attractions. Thinking about it, I figure that driving to Branson, Missouri from Merritt Island, Florida would take 18-20 hours. It is 1172 miles all the way. Hmm, I love traveling on road. For me, this is what makes the vacation more exciting.

Our Retirement Trip Out West

Guest post written by Burt Lancaster
.
My wife Darlene and I have traveled for years, hopping from place to place across America. We’ve never really cared for airplanes, so we try to drive everywhere, enjoying the quality time we get to spend with one another.
.
As a retirement present to myself, I recently splurged on a brand new BMW for us to ride out west in together to celebrate the beginning of our golden years. Well, a few states into our journey, I couldn’t help but notice that I was having an exceptionally hard time deciphering what Darlene was saying to me in the car. We saw a sign when we were about mid-way advertising hearing tests Las Vegas NV , which got me thinking: Maybe I should get tested.
.
We stopped at the Miracle Ear location and, as it turns out, I definitely needed some type of aid. Before making any decisions, I called my sister from the road to get her opinion. She said she’d recently gone to miracle ear WA and was thrilled with her hearing aids. I was sold.
.
When we finally arrived in Cali, I decided to get fitted for my hearing aids in California , right then and there. And, well, we’ve been enjoying wonderful conversations ever since!

A Trip To Cancun

This is a guest post by Krista Elix
.
I never thought I would ever visit anywhere outside the United States. But the company my wife works for set up a trip for all the managers and their spouses to go to Cancun, Mexico. I was excited and scared at the same time. Sure, I’ve heard of Cancun and all the fun things to do there, but being a visitor in another country kind of worried me.
.
I checked out the hotel we would be staying at online, and it was gorgeous. It has sandy white beaches and plenty of entertainment to keep us busy. It was also an all inclusive hotel, which meant that food and drinks were free. I had never been to an all inclusive hotel before, so I was fired up about going.
.
The day of our Mexican getaway had finally arrived. We had packed the night before, so all we had to do was shower and load the car with our luggage. I set our ADT in Houston for the house and we were off to Cancun.
.
When we got there I immediately realized that I had too much clothing on. It was 29 degrees when we left home, but it had to be 90 degrees in Mexico. I sweated through the bus ride to our hotel and could not believe my eyes when we arrived there. It was even more beautiful than the pictures on the internet showed it to be.
.
We got our wristbands that we had to wear to get the free food and drinks, unpacked and headed for the bar closest to the water. We ordered drinks and sat there in the glorious water and just soaked in the atmosphere. We’d swim a little and get another drink. I forgot all about being in another country and just had fun.

If You Don't Like Where You Are, Move. You Are Not A Tree.

When I committed myself to become a wife to a foreigner, of course, goes with it was the assumption of living in a foreign country for good. I was excited with the thought. I always have the sense of adventure in me. It took me over a year staying here in USA before I started to feel homesickness. Thanks for the internet and long distance telephone calling; without them I couldn’t have lasted this long. The funny thing is that I am now the “foreigner” in this country.
.
My husband and I were talking about emigrating to other country in maybe several years from now. We haven’t decided on which country yet, but the thought alone gets me excited already. I know some people hates being mobile very often, but not me. I find it exciting.
.
Talking about excitement, and if to emigrate sparks an interest in you, I suggest that you visit the website Emigrate.co.uk. I find a whole bunch of interesting information from them. They are the number one emigration advice site in the UK, with daily updates in emigration news, emigration guides and some good stuff over at the emigration blog. It is jam packed with useful stuff for people thinking of emigrating. Their services includes emigration, immigration, visa types and educate you on the relevant laws of emigration. This website comes in very handy way with their guide for every country on Emigrating over there.

Vacation Planning

I am so happy that I got a full time job now, and soon, my husband will have his new job, too. We thank God very much on this. It looks like everything is doing well on our behalf. All these we do for our future Asian vacation, especially the Philippines, to be able to visit my family.
.
This vacation will be an expensive one because I am planning to stay longer than what my husband want. There are many reasons on why I say it will be an expensive one, and one of them is for the fact that we will be staying in the hotel for the whole time. My sisters’ houses are not big enough to accommodate us comfortably. And I know that my husband would rather stay in the hotel for the sake of comfort.
.
I was talking about Asian vacation. There are many places that my husband and I want to visit and see. Bangkok, Singapore, Hongkong, Australia, Japan… We haven’t figured out yet which places we will visit. We still have a lot of time for that though. But we definitely know where to go to find cheap hotels especially in Australia. CheaperThanHotels.com is where you can find cheap accommodation Melbourne area and also cheap hotels Perth area. Through them you could save up to 70%. They made it easy to compare the price. So, now you know where to go the next time you are looking for cheap hotels anywhere in the world.

Luggage Talk

In a few days it will be my mama’s birthday, and I am still here in Florida. I am so sad about that. I was really hoping to be able to visit her this time, but the money that I raise would not be enough to make the vacation satisfying. I was talking to my mama last Christmas day; she understood my situation and told me to take my time raising more money for the trip; that it is all just up to me. So, instead of visiting her, I just sent her the money during Christmas day and will send her again for her birthday.

Actually, I started gathering stuffs that I will be going to give away to my family and friends. I just hope I don’t have to bring more than two luggage bags, or else I will be paying for extra charge. That would be a waste of money.

Talking about luggage , there is one thing that I learned from travelling; it is best to have luggage bags that outstands out from the rest to make it easier to be recognized. When we were travelling to Florida, we had 2 big black luggage bags and to my despair, several other luggages look the same with ours. I tied some colored cords on the handles of them for markings, but somehow they were loosen up and were lost.

I love this Caribbean Joe Key West Luggage Collection. I found these from Sam’s Club. They are made of diamond weave palm tree dobby and are lightweight yet extremely durable. It can expand to increase packing capacity by 25% and features an internal retractable dual-tube telescopic handle with push button system. Sam’s Club has a wide collection of luggage sets , carry-on bags and duffel bags . Check them out on their website.

Need A Car For Hire In Spain?

My husband and I love to travel. This is our hobby. This is the advantage of having no baby yet. We love to see the places that God has wonderfully and uniquely made on every country. We want to be in awed at His creation. I believe we are not the two lonely people in the world with this dream. I know a lot of people who made a list of places they want to go before they die. I think we should start to make one, too. Definitely, Europe will be on the top of the list.
.
Let me share to you something if you are planning to travel Europe, especially to Spain, renting a car is quick and easy through BestCarHire.co.uk. It is the most popular website destination in comparing the Car Hire in Spain . They also offer airport car hire, airport parking and travel insurance, too. Book your reservation now by visiting their site.

Tips On How To Get Cheap Flights

I am looking forward to be able to visit my mama on her 79th birthday which will be on January. (Oh, God please allow me to.) That is the reason why I want to work, too, to be able to save money for my spending allowance in the Philippines. I hope to God that I will hear from those employers that I sent my resume to and can start working very soon.

I know I need now to start looking for cheap airline tickets available if I am planning to go on January. Actually, I asked few of my friends to help me find cheap flights , too. I was browsing online and I found very helpful tips on buying airline tickets from different websites. I wrote them down and had come up with this list:

*Plan the dates that you want to leave and be flexible, knowing that some days or time are typically cheaper days to fly. Check this website, LowFares.com.
* Keep yourself updated on airfare wars by watching the news and reading the newspaper. Look for limited-time promotional fares from major airlines and airline companies just starting up.
*Look for deals or travel packages by asking the travel agents. Some areas offer hotel room available at a discount along with the airline ticket.
*Compare rates from one website to another. Diligence always pays off.
*One smart way to find cheap tickets is through “Ticket Consolidators”. You can always find good deals from them.
*Purchase your airline tickets as early as possible. Most airlines have discount if you buy your ticket 3 weeks ahead.
*If possible, avoid passenger’s season. It is usually the time that they raise up their rates.
*Check their stand-by fares, if it is not too risky on your side, but avoid high season because it can be difficult to find a spare seat.
*If possible, stick with the same airline during your entire trip to received round-trip or connecting fare discounts. They always offer that.

We Love Myrtle Beach

My husband told me that on every winter people from the north come down to stay here in the south. Well, I can’t blame them. That is why I am here, too. I just can’t stand the cold weather in Michigan during fall, winter and early spring. I am so happy that we are here now in Florida.
.
Aunt Kathy from Michigan and Aunt Jean from Virginia is here in Florida to stay until spring. They suggest that we spend few days in South Carolina to see the most popular Myrtle Beach. Planning For The Philippine Trip

I am very happy today because my mother-in-law called us and announced to us that my Green Card has already arrived in the house and that they will forward the mail to us. Yes! I am so excited to have my card with me. Now, we can start planning for our visit to my family in the Philippines. Having a Green Card is very important to me. It will enable me to travel anytime and anywhere.

Talking about visiting my family in the Philippines, we want to stay in Singapore for a few days, too. There is something in that city that really attracts us; must be its popularity of their famous infrastructure and awesome sights and its booming industry. We were considering the thought of going there on our way going to Philippines. The good thing is that I just came across this great deal; Accor Hotels 3-Day Super Sale Asia Pacific . We can take advantage on this big savings if we book tonight or not later than 30th of October. Accor Hotels have one million hotel rooms across Asia Pacific at amazingly low rate starting US$30 per night for the stay period of December 2009 up to April 2010. This is perfect for us. This is something that we must not miss. We are both so excited about this trip.

A Stop At Tennessee

This picture was taken at Tennessee on the second day of our trip. We stop for the night at the Comfort Hotel somewhere in Tennessee. We woke up so early in the morning, and enjoyed the free continental breakfast they offered. And if you noticed, I have banana and apple on my hands that I grabbed from their dining room to be eaten on the way.
.
Tennessee is really a beautiful place with awesome mountains. I have only seen some portion of it. There are many interesting places that worth visiting, including those that we have been to already. I told my husband that whenever we can, we will go back to Tennessee to see those interesting places that they are advertising on the high-ways such as Ruby Falls, Rock City and many more.
.
The very important thing was that we had a very comfortable sleep, plus my husband did not have to miss his favorite weekly show "Monk".

5-Star Cooking School Weekend

One of the exciting things about living all by ourselves is that we can focus more on impressing each others in many things. My husband is a good cook and I am not, but I have decided to improve in this area. My goal is that I can serve him a good dinner and become a good hostess to our guests, too.

Is it a coincidence that the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is hosting a Cooking School Weekend? Wow! The fact that we will be moving down to Florida in a week from now, this cooking school is really convenient to me. To those who are interested in 5-star cooking lesson, Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel will be hosting a Cooking School Weekend on October 16th and 17th. Guests will be welcomed upon arrival to sumptuous Wine Tasting Reception followed by a cooking demonstration with the hotel’s very own and pride Chef Nathan Read on the following morning. He will teach participants on how to prepare the appetizers served at the Wine Tasting. On Saturday evening, participants will experience a lavish four-course dinner paired with appropriate wines and will discuss about how to prepare it on the following day. Their theme will be fall and holiday menus.

Since holiday season is coming, this can be my chance to improve myself in the area of cooking. This unique package also includes deluxe accommodations at the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel for two people for Friday and Saturday evening stay all for just $398.00. Isn’t this a great deal? This chance will not only give us the chance to experience the luxury of Hilton, which is very known in its hospitality and everything they have to offer, but Hilton has easy access to shops, boutiques, restaurants, river walks and other attractions such as … and above all, enjoying the splendor of wine tasting and four-course meals. This will be my chance to visit Branson. My husband had been to Silver Dollar City and to White Water and has been bragging a lot about Branson. He wants to take me there and see its beauty, too. . Oh my! This is so grand!

One of the states that we have been to that had really had me in awe was the South Carolina. There beaches are just so fantastic. If you have been to Myrtle Beach Resort, I am so sure that you know what I mean. It is the place that I don’t want to leave but sad to say… we have to. Well, we can always go back again though. Its extraordinary features and architectural beauty combine to offer visitors the ultimate vacation experience. It was such a total pleasurable experience.
.
After the long stressful driving on the hot streets of Florida and Georgia, we reach the Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach Hotels are located in the oceanfront that enables you to see the splendid view of the beach. Everything about Myrtle Beach has taken my breath away from the lazy river to the contemporary architecture. It was their goal to build this resort into a place where the beach and the warm weather would melt away the stress and leave you relaxed. Kayaking Adventure In Myrtle

We have decided to leave Florida tomorrow. We will be passing the different route we took coming here. This time we will be passing Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and home to Michigan.
.
As usual, we will have few stops to allow me to see the states and to buy myself keychain in every state we will be passing. We will be having few days stay in one of these states that I mentioned. I am so excited about this.
.
We consider staying a few days in South Carolina. We heard about a lot of good place to visit there. We heard that among those popular water sports in that state, kayaking in myrtle beach is one of the best in South Carolina. That would surely be fun. It is a good thing that I found their site, MyrtleBeachBible.com, they provide very helpful information about tourism and water activities. Plan your trip to Myrtle Beach, too, and we'll see you there.

Where To Find Cheaper Accommodation?

With my AOS (Adjustment of Status) papers still on process, my husband and I are excited with the thoughts of going to Canada for a vacation. And if it were not because of swine flu, my husband would love to take me to Mexico, too... and to Carribean Islands. Too bad, we had not decided on working with my AOS papers right away. I could have had that paper right now if we did. It was because I thought that I will only need that paper if I would decide to get a job. It was when we planned to go to Canada, that we found out that I need that papers to be able to go outside the country.

Talking about going to Canada, let me share to you what I have found; cheap hotels in Niagara Falls . This is cool. I love deals and savings. This is exactly what I want to take advantage of. As much as possible, we want to spend our hard-earned money in a way that it will go a long, long way. And in such way, we can still have the chance to visit other place that we want to such as California, Las Vegas, Texas, Lousiana, etc... Talking about Lousiana, you can also find cheap New Orleans accommodation through CheaperThanHotels.com, where you can find the cheapest accommodation worldwide. They guarantee the best price of up to 70% discount compare to other agencies. Unlike most accommodation, with CheaperThanHotels.com you can book within last minute and they are on service all year round. I suggest that you visit their website for more information.
