Happy... and...

I am happy today. Overwhelming in happiness. I had my final interview this morning by the employers themselves and announced to me at the end of the interview that I got the job. Although the job will start on the first week of November, I am just so thankful to God that it didn't take too long for me to get another job. My employers are just so nice and they just want to give me the chance to shine and be successful in the skills that I have. This job is a lot lighter in terms of physical activities than my previous job, but a lot heavier on mental activities.
.
I am happy... and... a little nervous at the same time. My employers expect big things from me. I didn't say that I can't do it because it is in line with my interest and strength, but being first-timer on this position would surely bring galoons of sweat on my palms and soles. This is kinda challenging because I will need to impress my employer with fresh ideas and good presentation. The good thing is that I still have two weeks to gather information and ideas about this field. But I got the greatest mentor, my God. I believe He will help me and supply all my needs, with prayer and acknowledgement that I need Him, that I can't do it on my own, then, I can trust that everything will fall on its right place.
.
Thank you very much, God, for this blessing. Whatever I will accomplish, I will always be careful that all the glory should be yours alone, because in the first place, I can't do anything without you.

Valentine's Day Gifts

This is not to boast about what I got on Valentine's Day, but in showing appreciation, I want to post here the gifts that I received from my huckleberry.
.
He gave me a muscial Valentine's Card, the song is "Just To See You Smile" by Tony Martin and Mark Nesier. The message of the song is very wonderful.
.
The front of the card says, "Anything, That's What I'd Do For You". Though it is not his own words, but I know it is what his heart exactly does to me. He would really do anything for me.
.
The bracelet is a tri-tone gold. I love it very much. He knows how much I love bracelets. It always turn my head on. I can't count anymore how many bracelets he gave me. And they are all so beautiful and meaningful.
.
We had a romantic dinner at J.J. Jamokes Restaurant. I had Grilled Lobster and my hubby had Au-Juice Prime Rib . He was so sweet. Oh well, he is always so sweet, but particularly on that evening. We had a very wonderful evening. It is as if there are no other people around us, just the two of us. I love you, my huckleberry.

I Got A Very Big Blessing!

I believe some of you remember that I had two hearing test five months ago and that the result of both the "Audiometry" and the "Tympanometry" was poor. They suggest that I should wear hearing aid.
.
The "not-so-good" news was, a pair of hearing aid cost almost $4,000. I told my hubby that I don't want him to spend that much just for my hearing aid, after all, I can still hear, but he was very determined to get me one for my own safety when I go out.
.
The good news was, somebody told him that "Lion's Club" is giving away hearing aid. We both thought maybe it is something used that they are giving away. My husband called the phone number that was handed to him. After few calls, I was given an appointment for fitting at Hear USA, Flint, Michigan. Yes, it is brand new! After about two weeks, Hear USA called me to pick up the hearing aid. So, we were there this morning. Fitted it. Gave me some instructions and that's it. They gave me the pair of brand new SIEMENS hearing aid at no cost at all. Not even a single centavo. Imagine that, what was cost almost $4,000, they just give it to me for free. FREE. The Lion's Club paid for it. PRAISE GOD!
.
Of course, the very first thing I will be doing is to send them my handmade "Thank You" card. They are just so awesome and very generous to those who are in need. May God Almighty just blessed all of them.

Santa Claus Came Up Early!

We came home late from the school, and Mom Sallie called me, there was something she want to show me. Bundle of clothing. Some are actually new because they still have their tag on it. They are for me. "Santa Claus came up early!", I exclaimed.

It was Anjannette who gave the clothing. She is a cousin of my husband. I don't remember anymore how many times she brought bundle of clothing here in the house for me. I'm very happy for all the clothing she gave to me. I'm just so fortunate that Anjannette and I have the same size, that is why I became her "beneficiary". "I always buy new clothes though," that was what she told me the first time we met.

The clothing she gave to me were very useful, specially these sweaters and jackets. I did not bring too much clothes with me from the Philippines. And I just found out, it is not easy to buy clothes here in US because of my size. I wear size medium (bought from the Philippines), but size small here is still big enough for me.

Back in the Philippines, on every December, my roommate Ann and I would look through our clothing and would decide which we will give away. We do this as a sign of gratitude for all the clothing blessings that we have acquired through the year. And amazingly, after we gave them away, blessings start to pour out again. New clothing filled our closet again.

Thank you very much, Anjannette. You are such a wonderful cousin. May many more clothing be added to your closet always.
