Hang A Hummingbird Feeder On Your Patio

My dad-in-law was excited the other day because he had spotted a hummingbird on the pear tree. He then took out the hummingbird feeder and poured some water on it. I used to ask where the birds go during winter time, the answer was that they migrate to other country. According to BirdFeeder.com, the reason why hummingbirds migrate is that it was believe that the first hummingbird species developed during the ice age. They have always been considered tropical birds, and the majority of them are still today, however, when the layers of ice withdrew from North America the hummingbirds saw an opportunity to discover a new land. Well, but I am glad that they are back now.
.
Hummingbird , the amazing little bird from the bird family Trochilidae, and are native to the Americas. They can hover in mid-air by rapidly flapping their wings for 12–90 times per second (depending on the species). Ain’t that amazing? They can also fly backwards, and are the only group of birds able to do so. Their English name derives from the characteristic hum made by their rapid wing beats. They can fly at speeds exceeding 15 m/s (54 km/h; 34 mph. That’s what made this little bird amazing.

Encourage the hummingbird to come to your place, hang a hummingbird feeders on your yard or patio. Hummingbird feeder can be great gifts to our grandmas, aunts or teachers.

We also have ours out back around our patio. We have really enjoyed our birdfeeders this year. Our back yard has been full of beautiful, red birds and blue birds. God's creations are amazing. I have not seen as many hummingbirds as we usually do though.
