DOVE Messages

I love Dove chocolates. I always have one every after dinner. It is some kind of a comfort food to me. On some time, especially after a very stressful day or an "unpleasant" day, I just love to lie down on our bed and have one. It kind of gives me some relaxing feeling.

At the back of the foil packaging, you will find a message. It kind of made me smile after reading them. Lately, I have decided to keep every one that got a different messages on it, and wrote it down here for the record. So far, these are the messages that I had collected.

*Stop and enjoy the chocolate aroma.
*Chocolate therapy is "Oh, so good."
*Love rules without rules.
*Open your eyes to all the love around you.
*A good love is delicious because you can never get enough.
*Let your sensuousness shine through.
*Do what feels right.
*You make everything lovely.
*Remember the simple pleasures in life.

What it takes to be a STEWARD?

Shoulder Bag, Purse, Pocketbook... Whatever!

When I was still in the Philippines, we call this a "shoulder bag", but when I get here in US, I learned to call this a "purse" because it is what my husband taught me so, but... I was so surprise when one day as I was watching movie, I heard a southern lady called it a "pocketbook". A pocketbook?!

I grew up with the thought that a pocketbook is a small especially paperback book that can be carried in the pocket.

According to Dictionary.com a pocketbook is a;
* woman's purse or handbag.
*person's financial resources or means: "The price was out of reach of his pocketbook."
*book, usually paperback, that is small enough to carry in one's coat pocket.
* notebook for carrying in one's pocket.
* wallet or billfold.

Well, I never know.

CHOICE

Dancing With God

When I meditated on the word Guidance,

I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.

I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.

When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.

The movement doesn't flow with the music,

And everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.

When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,

Both bodies begin to flow with the music.

One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back?

Or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.

It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully...

The dance takes surrender, willingness,

And attentiveness from one person

And gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance...

When I saw "G": I thought of God, followed by "U" and "I"."

God, "U" and "I" dance."

God, you, and I dance. As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust

That I would get guidance about my life.

Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

My prayer for you today is that God's blessings

And mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.

May you abide in God, as God abides in you.

Dance together with God, trusting God to lead

And to guide you through each season of your life.

This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.

If God has done anything for you in your life,

Interceding in prayer is one of the best gifts we can receive.

There is no cost but a lot of rewards;

So let's continue to pray for one another.

And I.......Hope You........Dance!

What's Wrong With The Word "Happy"?

I used to have a friend with a strange and strong spiritual conviction. He hate the word "HAPPY". (He lives in Florida) He prohibited the use of this word. He converted the word to other synonyms such as joyful, merry and bless. For example, if you want to say; "I am happy to see you." He want you to change it into; "I am joyfull to see you."

It would really upset him if he hears you stubbornly used that word. "But what's wrong with the word "HAPPY"? I asked him. Here was his answer:
"The word "HAPPY" was from devil because it is the depending on the outside circumstances, not on the state of the heart because "happy" came out from the word happening."
And that was why he also strongly objected celebrating occassions such as birthdays, christmas, mother's day/father's day, etc.; because according to him, those are celebrated by the devils. I wonder if the devil was "happy" with that... (oppss!) Strange, huh?
