Update Of My Lil Indoor Garden

Several months ago, I posted here my indoor garden, and here is the update of it. I added another plant with them. I don't know their names, but they're all ideal for indoor, that means that I can only water them once a week. I am very thankful that they are all healthy.

My Aloe is getting bigger and larger. I am so happy about it. I noticed that there are at least two sprouts next to it. I think it is about time that I should transplant them; move the big one outside and let the new sprouts remain for them to grow up.

I love having plants inside our house. It feels so good to have another living things inside our house. I am not yet settled with four. In fact, if you noticed, I still have two empty pots that I need to fill in. I am just waiting for the right kind of plants that I will put in there. If I need to, I am very willing to add more pots with them, and probably more pebbles, too.

In the next few days, I will be showing to you my outdoor garden. :)

My Indoor Garden

Yesterday was a good day. I mean, it was sunny and warm. I had decided to start with my new project which is the indoor garden. I have three empty pots, dirt and a little table to put them on. I went to my neighbor, whom I already asked permission to take some from her plants to start with my own. And this is it... my little indoor garden. I am looking forward to have more pots and more different kind of indoor plants, or maybe some cactus... whichever will come first.

I was not so sure how to do the re-potting, and so I had decided to search it on the internet and here is what I have found:

*You will need garden gloves, it don't have to be fancy - use disposable latex or rubber gloves. *Weather permitting, repot outside on the ground and that way you can be as messy as you want. If this is not an option use a large table, workbench, or on your kitchen sink area. Lay down a cheap plastic tablecloth on your work surface.
* Your container should have a hole(s) in the bottom. If you are using a large fancy container that is going to house your actual pot, put a garbage bag inside as a liner to protect it. If you have a bottom under your new pot, you may over water and it would run over into the large one.
*If you want, use a large spoon to scoop soil into pot. I like to use my hands.
*Spread out the roots on top of the soil and then add soil to fill pot. Make sure plant is centered. Press down soil around plant. Add water a little at a time until it starts coming out the bottom. Press down the soil again. You may need to add a little more soil after it starts leveling out. If available, spray outside of pot gently with water to clean it off.
*You can also lightly spray leaves.
*Put pot in saucer.

Happy Farming

I started farming (in Farm Town) last July prior to my families and friend's (in the Philippines) request, because they are farming, too. For a while I was addicted to this game, especially during my first few weeks. I was almost on the computer for the whole day and night because of the pressure to level up. But those days are gone. I am now slowing down. I don't work with other farms anymore. In fact, there are days that I don't touch my farm at all because I was busy.

But the other night, my friend told me that they have something new stuff available for purchase in the Farm Town. I went there and saw them... Christmas stuff. I was inspired to see the snow and the big snow pine. So, I purchased them and place them on my farm. I miss the snow, and I am glad that I can have snow, at least on my farm. Happy Farming! :)

My "Vintage" Dictionary

I love writing articles. But since English language is not my native tongue, I need the help of a dictionary most of the time.

I have a favorite dictionary. It is from my father who died fifteen years ago. ( Websters New World Dictionary, Compact School & Office Edition; Copyright 1967; THE WORLD PUBLISHING COMPANY , Library of Congress Catalog Card Number# 67-24862) I was using it since I was in second grade. Though I have few modern dictionaries given by some friends, I'd still stick to my "vintage" dictionary. I love the way it helped me find the precise words in expressing my thoughts and gives me satisfaction in what I'm writing.

But the sad thing is, I left my "vintage" dictionary in the Philippines. I have to, because of its weight and size. I left it to the care of my best friend along with my mother's favorite "vintage" cookbook, too.

But thanks to the online dictionary. http://www.dictionary.com/ It helps me find the precise words that I need and they made it a lot easier, too, because you can look for the synonyms by using their Crossword Solver.

I Want To Be A Chef In My Own Kitchen

When I was still in the Philippines, I had always wanted to enroll myself in a cooking school. I love trying international foods and that is why I want to learn international menus. I don’t understand how online cooking school work. Who will judge my food? What will challenge me to do my best? Who are my competitions? And how do we know which is the best online culinary school?

Project Books

One of my favorite things to do is making projects. I love handicrafts of any kind. (Two of my finished crafts was post under the month of September.)

Mom Sallie just bought me these three project books a couple of weeks ago. (Thanks, Mom.) They are very easy to follow and have a lot of very creative ideas to do. In fact, I have a finished scarf already. I will post it here in the next few days.

I had a hard time posting these pictures. I want them to stick together, and its impossible to do it here in this site. So, what I did, I took pictures of these flowers stick together, composed this message and post the pictures from my mailbox. It don't look good. But I just want to expresss my passion in flowers. These flowers are found in our lawn. There are more in my gallery taken from some places, but I will just post the rest on some other days.

Nature really fascinates me. It reminds me of God's beauty and awesome power.
