Walt Disney World 2012

I finally got it figured out on how to upload pictures the easy way that it used to be. I searched for any assistance from their technician, and found out that all I need to do is to switch to its "old interface". Sounds like Facebook with its new timeline, huh?

I will add more description and a little story-telling later, after dinner. :-)

Ok, I am back. Whew! It took me almost three weeks to come back. Pardon my negligence, I am extremely busy these days... (and it feels like forever, trust me). I can't recall anymore when did I start being extremely busy that updating on my blog seemed impossible, but somehow, my husband and I were managed to had a couple of days break on that last weekend of the month of June. We decided to spend them at the Walt Disney World. (Thank God that it was possible.

There are four theme park in Walt Disney World (Orlando, Florida). We agreed to pick the Disney's Hollywood Studio. Although I haven't been in any other park than this one, but in my opinion, it was great for grown ups like myself and my husband.

Among all the "booths" or "rides" (whatever you call it), my favorite was the "Hollywood Tower Hotel". It was our first one, and was a great way to start our day. Plunging in the pitch darkness while the elevator shaft either drops you that will literally takes you off from your seat or take you up and up that leaves you clueless on where it will take you. That was fun though.

My husband's favorite was "The Great Movie Ride" where it took us to the shooting location where the action took places and the characters (wax) were there, too. It was cool when we were in the middle of John Wayne shooting action with his enemies.

The whole theme was fantastic. It surely beat the stress out from us. Once again, I would like to thank God for that wonderful opportunity that he gave us.

NASA Tour (2-12-12)

It was Sunday right after the church service when my husband and I decided to spend the afternoon to somewhere that we haven't been. NASA. It was our pre- Valentine's Day date since we will both be busy on the Valentine's Day, him being in school for the whole day and me being in the store for 12 hours. I don't know what is it with us, but almost every time we go out for a date, it always happened to be a chilly day. With all those scarves. gloves, winter coat and bonnet that I have in house, I only happened to wear this almost-sheer satin jacket that my Aunt Kathy gave me. The weather was not so bad in the morning when we left the house, and also it was cooler up there to where the NASA is, too. I was really freezing to death that I feel like my brain is going to sleep and I was shaking all over. I was browsing through their gift shop and boy, was I so happy to find the bonnet in there. I know I didn't need another bonnet to my closet, but at least this one have a logo of NASA on it. Well, it saved me, and had me going.

We really had a blast. It was a 5 hour tour, and there wasn't enough time for us to see everything. Buses transfers from places to places. IMAX movies, demonstrations, showrooms, and many more. It had me in awe of how vast the universe is. Unfathomable!

It was really a great day! Thank God for the opportunity to experience such things and to had a glimpse of your marvelous work. How great are you oh, God!

Brevard Zoo - For The 2nd Time Around

My parents-in-law are here with us for three weeks already. I feel a little guilty that I haven't had time to go out with them just like what we do on the last time they were here. So, I had decided to make myself available this day. I don't have anywhere particular place for go. All I know is that I want to go out and have fun. It took us a while to figure out where we should go, and my husband suggested that we go to Brevard Zoo. My initial reaction was a little hesitant because we have been there on the year 2008, but then I realized that it was 2 years ago, and maybe there are changes and improvements that took place then. After all, my main intention on this outdoor activity is to spend time with them while having fun.

It only took us 2o minutes to get there from our house. That is the good part in it. As what I had hoped, there were really some changes that took place. They have improved it, and we have seen more animals this time than we did before. To my surprise, I was not bored at all given the fact that we have been there already. In fact, I was as excited as I was before. My parents-in-law were glad that we went there, too. It was really a good zoo with so many animals that you can see and touch; considering, too, that the entrace fee is very reasonable. Too bad, that we had not the chance to bring there our grandkids because Ciara was not feeling very good then. We are hoping that on this summer that we can take them there.

Sure, we missed something by doing this. My husband had to move his study time, and I had to move my laundry time, but it was not a big sacrifice at all, because the most important is the bonding moment that we were creating as a family which is very essential in our lives. We thank God for the very wonderful day.

Thanksgiving Weekend At Myrtle Beach

My husband’s relative (the ones that I haven’t met yet) will be with us in a few days from now. They are from north and they will be spending the Thanksgiving weekend with us. We will be having a big Thanksgiving Dinner at the basketball court. It will surely be another wonderful dinner for all of us. We did this same thing last year, too. My problem is that I have to work on Thanksgiving Day. I wish I don’t have to, so that I can spend more time with them and can help with the preparation, too. On their way back home, they will be staying in South Carolina for a weekend escapade. They want to take advantage of the last days of the warm days before they will go back to the north.

Dallas, The Shopper's Paradise

I met Tommy and Wanda earlier this year. They are a wonderful couple. Wanda treated me as if she had known me for years. In fact, even before we met, she already did something that was so meaningful to me; she sent me a Texas keychain in mail. She knew from my mother-in-law that I am collecting keychain with the state’s name on it. How sweet of her.

Tommy and Wanda live in Dallas, Texas. They came here to Visit Aunt Sallie, Tommy’s mom, earlier this year and it was during Aunt Sallie’s birthday, too. They spent a week here and got the chance to know them personally. I like Wanda very much. She is a very graceful and helpful woman. I asked her a lot about their place and told me how good it is to live there in Dallas. It is a mixed of big city life and a western-style living. It is the 3^rd largest city in Texas and the 9^th largest in the entire USA. Dallas is also called the "shopper's paradise"; where it has more shopping centers per capita than any other cities in the entire USA. It sounds exciting.

Florida's Playalinda Clothing Optional Beach

For months, my husband was trying to persuade me to go with him to Playalinda (Nude) Beach. "I don't want to go to a nude beach, honey. I don't want to see nude people," I told him. "It's not that bad, honey, and we are just gonna see what is in that place," was his reply. I was off from work on previous Saturday and Sunday. I wanted to go to the National Wildlife Refuge to buy a Solar-Shirt from their gift shop. I never realized that it was on the way going on that nude beach, so after we bought my solar-shirt, we proceed to the nude beach which was another 5 miles away.

The parking lot only holds about 30 cars and there are no accommodations for parking on the shoulder or elsewhere. We arrive past noon with no plans to swim, and the parking lot was full, we have to turn around and drive back to the one of the other further South parking lots. We realized that the later you get there the harder it will be to get a spot and the further you will have to park away. Each parking lot is another 1/2 to 1 mile away from the clothing optional sunbathing area. We end up walking in and out for a mile just to be on that spot where naked people are flocking around.

Again, with no plans to swim or anything, we were just sitting on the sand after a mile walk, relaxing and just absorbing the shock we experienced. Of course, we act as if pretending that everything that we saw was normal, but I whispered to my husband, "Honey, we are in a whole different world." There were 20-200 exposed sunbathers. Some of them are just walking past us back and forth, as if talking a brisk walk. A couple of minute later, a naked man came standing in front of us, asking why we were not taking our clothes off yet. Imagine that, we were sitting on the sand, and there was the naked man in front of us. Again, we were pretending that everything around was normal. My husband then politely answered him that it was our first time, and that we were absorbing everything yet. "Smart answer, honey."

Florida clothing optional beach is in Canaveral National Seashore Playalinda Beach, Florida. It is part of the National Wildlife Refuge and is managed by the federal government, so it is not advertised as a clothing optional beach, though it is used that way. The reason for this is that there are no federal laws prohibiting this. The local governments that have limited jurisdiction over this geographic area, are not staffed for, nor are they interested in, spending a great bit of time and resources to enforce and prosecute under "their" public decency laws on federal property. So as long as people don't abuse the privilege and follow basic guidelines for non-offensive conduct, the right and accepted use of Playalinda as an awesome beach can continue.

Lion Country Safari

Last Wednesday was my day off from work. Dad and Mom took advantage of it by taking me to Lion Country Safari. They have been there long time ago, and they want to go there again, with me and my husband this time. We left very early, and I was sleeping on our way going to West Palm Beach where the Lion Country Safari is located.

These are few of the pictures we took in there. It took us two hours to get there, and once we entered the gate, everybody was getting excited. It was really a very thrilling experience, entering the habitat of these wild animals. As what I have observed, I believed that everybody can be safe as long as you drive slowly and you don't provoked them. The experience was like in the movie "Jurassic Park" where you drive in the world of the dinosaurs. I was so happy and was very thankful to both Dad and Mom for taking me there. They really treat me like their baby daughter. I am so blessed to have them as my parents-in-law.

Aside from these animals (and more), they also have rides, water parks, spot where you get to feed the giraffes, animals exhibitions and many more. It was a nice day in the Lion Country Safari with 80 degrees temperature. I wanted to walk on barefoot to feel the warmth of the sun. By the end of the day, I noticed that my shoulders were itchy and then I found out that I had sunburn on my shoulders. It was not that bad though, because after I put cold lotion on it, the itchiness and redness subsides.

What About Myrtle Beach?

I was talking about our plan for our wedding anniversary vacation. My husband and I are aware that our initial plan would need quite a lot of money to make it happen, but we have a plan B. It is always good to have a plan B. The plan B is for somewhere closer, and of course, it would mean much less expense. In this way, whatever will happen, everything will still be in good order.

Our plan B is to go to Myrtle Beach. It is in South Carolina. It is perfect for spring and summer. National Wildlife Refuge In Titusville, FL

Saturday morning, Ed and Annette took us to National Wildlife Refuge in Titusville. It was a rough and stinky road, but the sight was worth the trip. We saw huge alligators, armadillos, vultures and these breath-taking storks.

Take note, this is not a zoo. The place is a wildlife refuge where wildlife are free to live as they ought to be. As long as you are in the car, you are safe, but if you get out from the car, you better be careful and look around for possible attack. Well, they say that these alligators are not aggressive as long as you don't aggravate them as well. There they are, just lying down, and it didn't seem to bother them that we are a couple of yards away from them.

I love these storks. They are so awesome to look at, especially before they saw us, they started to scattered and move away from us. It was the first time I had ever seen storks. I thought they were swan.

Behind me is an alligator that was crawling away from us. Way behind are vultures on those palm trees. I was kind of scared at them, too, because I had a feeling that they would attack my head. Aww!

That was a great whole day for the four of us. I really enjoyed it. After there, we had lunck at Dog's R Us. Then, we went to cheap stores for second hand stuff. We love going to cheap stores. Thanks again to Ed and Annette. Annette is my husband's cousin. We just love being with them.

Mackinac Bridge - Michigan

It has been three months since we left Michigan to move here in Florida, to be on our own, and I want to say that I miss Michigan. It has been my first home here in USA. I have been staying there for 16 months. I am glad that it has happened to be in that way, because I had the chance to experience country living surrounded with farms and gardens; experienced the cold winter and seen the beauty of autumn in Michigan.

Michigan is a beautiful state. One of the experiences I had there that I can consider as “most wonderful” was when we went up north for our 1st year wedding anniversary. My step-son went to College in Central Michigan and has to live in one of the apartments near the campus. A Stop At Tennessee

This picture was taken at Tennessee on the second day of our trip. We stop for the night at the Comfort Hotel somewhere in Tennessee. We woke up so early in the morning, and enjoyed the free continental breakfast they offered. And if you noticed, I have banana and apple on my hands that I grabbed from their dining room to be eaten on the way.

Tennessee is really a beautiful place with awesome mountains. I have only seen some portion of it. There are many interesting places that worth visiting, including those that we have been to already. I told my husband that whenever we can, we will go back to Tennessee to see those interesting places that they are advertising on the high-ways such as Ruby Falls, Rock City and many more.
