My New Dell Inspiron

It has been a couple of months since the last I posted here on my blog. There has been so many things that kept me from blogging and I just can't help it; and just a week ago, I found a way to rekindle my passion in blogging, and that is to buy a new laptop so that I can post anything on anytime and in anywhere.
.
Yesterday, I went to a baby shower party right after work, and it didn't take long, we parted and went each own way home. In other words, I was home early. I feel depressed, so I decided to watch movie, and found myself still depressed after the movie was over. I was thinking on something to do, eventhough I have so many things on my list that are need to be done but I just didn't feel like doing them, until... alas! "I need to get a laptop right now." I then told my husband, "Honey, I know what I need now, I need a laptop." Let's make the long story short, here it is, my new Del Inspiron.

Thank you, honey, for this. Thank you, God, for this another blessing.

From now on, I will be back to life in blogging more... to do what I am supposed to be doing... to tell God's Amazing Grace... by God's help.

Groceries From Philippines

These and a little bit more are the groceries that I bought from Philippines that I brought home with me here during my last visit there. These are the stuff that I can't find here... or let me rephrase it, I can barely find here in USA. That was why when I was there, I really spare some money to be able to buy these groceries.
.
Allow me to enumerate them with the explanation on why I like them. I want to start with the corned beef. Sure enough we have corned beef here in USA. They even say that the corned beef here is better than in the Philippines. That is why most of the Filipino from here take some from here to bring to Philippines. I don't disagree with that. In some way it is true, but personally, I love the corned beef from the Philippines better than the one from here. Why? Probably because it is more juicy compare to the corned beef here. And also, there is a big difference on how we cook our corned beef back in the Philippines compare to how they cook theirs here. No offense, americans. We all have different tongue. I'm talking about sense of taste.
.
The second one is the Lucky Me Pancit Canton. This is my husband's favorite snack. There are different variation available, and I bought the "Extra Hot Chili" which he likes very much. The hotter is the better for him. Although I can find them sometimes in one of the Asian store around here, but barely the hot one.
.
Another one is the McCormick's Carbonara Mix. This is mine's favorite snack. I can't find this one here. Or maybe I just haven't be to a store where I can find them. Although I can come up with something else to get the taste that I want for my Carbonara, but having this mix in a packet is a lot easier.
.
All the rest are just extras, such as Nescafe 1 use pack instant coffee, Magic Sarap All-In-One seasoning, Knorr's Sinigang, Nestle Cream and Maggi Savor. Having all these stuff, and standing in my kitchen makes me feel like I am still in the Philippines.

Roberta & Rikki

Let me introduce to you my new house companion, Roberta... well, I have to admit that at first I call her(him) Robert, because she(he) looks so sturdy and firm. My husband brought it home for me about a couple of months ago. I am so happy to have her(him) around.
Then, a couple of weeks later, I found Rikki, lonely and unwanted. I bought him home and gave him to Robert, who then became Roberta.
Roberta then, adopted Rikki as her own baby. Color doesn't matter as long as they need each other and felt belonged to each other. From now on, Rikki will not be lonely anymore. They are now inseparable and obviously joyful to be with each other.
.
Please excuse my fantasy. This is just me. I always treated my stuffed animals as a part of the household, even back when I was still in the Philippines. I think it is the thing with being the youngest child... and having no kid around (yet).

Meet Beth & Ann

I want you to meet my friends, Beth and Ann. The one wearing sapphire blue got the name Beth, because she really look like my late-friend, Beth. Very sophisticted and classy. She was actually a model in her prime age. This doll really reminds me of her.
.
The other doll in a purple is Ann. She is a clown. I named her after my best friend in Cebu, Ann. She makes everybody laugh. She is a good entertainer and a good conversationalist. She is very dear to me.
.
Both of them were dear to me and I miss them very much. Actually, I got these dolls from Beth's properties. Her husband had me pick whatever I want from her stuff before he had to turn them to Goodwill. He was about to move to another state and that was why he was giving away some of his stuff including some designer leather sofas . Along with Raggedy Ann & Andy, I got these two lovely little dolls, too. I just love collecting dolls. I have a lot of them in the Philippines. I have few that we left in Michigan and I hope that my parents-in-law will bring them over when they come down next year to visit us, because I miss them so much, too.

Raggedy Ann & Andy

Do I have to introduce to you these little guys? I believe you all know who they are. Yes, they are the classic and ever popular Raggedy Ann & Andy. They are two of my first new housemates here in Florida, because my doll and stuffed animal collection that I had in Michigan was left there, and sad to say, they will have to stay there until Dad and Mom will come down here on next year.
.
They originally belong to my late-friend in Ohio, Beth. (Oh, I miss her.) Her husband was moving to Indiana and was giving away all her stuff to Goodwill. Coincidentally, I was there few days before he have to move out, and he told me that I can have anything I want from my friend's stuff. Two of the bagful of stuff that I got are these cutie pie little fella, Raggedy Ann & Andy. Beth's husband, Scott, told me that these rag dolls are original. He showed me the embroidery on each of their chest as a symbol of originality. They even told me that these would cost good money if you sell them. Of course, I am not interested to sell them.
.
The moment I held them, I fell in love with them right away. I feel like they were sad that their original owner who loved them so dearly left them, and that they will be in a stranger's home soon. Almost, but not anymore. I brought them home with me. I am sure that my dear friend is happy that I have them instead of somebody else can have them, and they are happy as well, because their original owner and I were dear friends. And I believe that they feel loved and home right here with me.

My First Crochet Blanket

I am very happy that my first crochet blanket that I have been working on two weeks ago is finally done. Here it is. My choice of colors are sweet. Very feminine. Next time I will try neutral. I love this and I am very glad to be able to accomplish a thing in between house chores, writing reviews and blogging.
.
During the first few days of doing this, I complained about neck & back pain and on my fingers, too, but as I continue on, the pain didn't bother me anymore. This reminds me that I need to have health insurance very soon. Somebody introduce me this; United Health One HSA . I guess I will go and review their site.

Wallet By Riviera

This is my wallet by Riviera. I like its simplicity and yet with a touch of elegance in style. Its leather is soft and has many compartment inside. This wallet was a christmas gift from my best friend, Ann, couple of christmas ago. I had always wish to have a wallet like this, and she had granted it for me. I love this wallet very much and I'm taking good care of it, just how I love my best friend, Ann, too.

The way to a woman's heart is through man's wallet. Frank Dane quotes.....(Uhh-ohh, I don't think so!!!)

Meet Coco

Meet Coco. I got him from a garage sale at our neighbor just three houses away from our house.
.
A couple of days ago, as we were going to Wal-mart, I saw the sign, "Garage Sale". So I told my husband that on our way back home, we will drop by and look what they got.
.
The usher told us that the benefits of their garage sale will go to the Breast Cancer foundation in our town. All items don't have prices. You just donate any amount you may feel you want to give and 100% of it will go to their foundation.
.
I had decided to get this Teddy Bear because I thought he is cute and need a home. It took me a while before I was able to find a name for him. I gave him the name Coco because he is so dark brown like a Cocoa.
.
Back in the Philippines, I have 30+ stuff toys and most of them are large stuff toys. They occupied most space on my bed. I didn't mind that I didn't have much space anymore because I was happy that I have a bunch of company on my bed. I miss them so much. Now that Coco is with me, I feel better... I feel like I am with them again.

.
This is the Easter Bunny Chocolate that my mother-in-law gave me for tomorrow. I am so excited to open this on tomorrow.
.
We will going to have an Easter dinner tomorrow. There will be ham, deviled egg, etc...
.
And by the way, meet TJ, my bunny friend. She stays right beside me every night and every time I wake up, she is still right there, too.

Acu-Hoop

One of the gift that my husband gave me during Christmas day was this, Acu-Hoop . It is 4lbs, medium hulahoop. 40 inches diameter and the pipe is 1.75 inches. This is exactly what I need! I like its color, too. I play 10 minutes every early morning, (at least 30 minutes before breakfast) and another 10 minutes in the afternoon, (at least 30 minutes before dinner) It promise to trim your waist 2 inches monthly until fit.
CAUTION: Due to the strong impact direct to abdominal and body muscles, use gradual length of time in the first week starting 1 minute, or what you can handle. Do not use more than 20 minutes at one time. Over excercise may cause injury.

Samsung BL103- "My Little Wonder"

I know I have showed this camera here already, and I want to blog about this again. I called this "My Little Wonder" and I have few reasons why. This is not really one of those latest hi-tech camera, but with its price at $69.00, I can really say that I had a good deal. I was so happy having this because it has 10.2 megapixel. I am having fun taking pictures on anything, on everywhere and anytime at all.

One thing that surprised me was that it has a Samsung Master CD that enables me to do a lot of things with the pictures, such as;
.
* resize
* crop
* canvas size
* rotate/flip
* horizon
* wallpaper
* frames
* edges
* calendar

And just lately, I didn't know at all that I can even record video. Wow! That was another surprise for me. That's too much for such a price. I believe there are more things that I still didn't know about my little wonder. I keep procrastinating on reading the manual though.

Jewelry Box

During my first few days here in Michigan, there was a sign across the street saying "Storage Sale". I was so excited to go, to see what they sell, and this... is from there... a jewelry box. No scratch, no broken. It was as good as new. On sale for only a dollar. I like this very much.

Few weeks after I had purchased this, I found similar to this at Walmart, for $5.00 . Well, that was a good deal then.

I love storage sale!
